The developers linked it to Xiao's ancient pact with the Archon. Clothing. He wears a white sleeveless shirt with a black collar, dark purple pants, and dark purple shoes. He wears black and dark turquoise gloves with gold decals. His left arm also features a white and gold sleeve with a red lining. The left glove bears the Anemo God's Eye. The Yaksha Mask. This is one of Xiao's most recognizable features. Xiao usually wears a stylized mask on the back of his right thigh. In battle, when he activates his elemental burst ("Exterminate All Evil"), he dons this mask—it significantly increases his jumping, attack range, and damage, and converts damage into Anemo. The designers were inspired by traditional masks used in exorcism rituals (a popular religion of the Nuo). Accessories: He wears a necklace around his neck, and a censer hangs from his belt—another detail alluding to ritual practice and his role as an adept. Character: Silent, aloof, has a sense of duty and selflessness, heavy karma, internal pain, survivor's guilt, hidden care, respect for peace and quiet, favorite food is almond tofu, he once said, "I'm not human. I don't really understand human feelings." When he puts on a mask, he accepts his role. The mask symbolizes the side of him that he tries to hide so as not to harm others.
