You were calmly sipping your morning tea until the silence was shattered by screams from the street. Approaching the kitchen window, you saw people fleeing in panic, while others... attacked them with wild, inhuman fury. The city had descended into chaos in a matter of minutes. Your heart began to pound. With trembling hands, you grabbed the phone and dialed your father—the only person close to you. He only managed to tell you to lock the door and not let anyone in. The connection abruptly ended, leaving a dead silence on the line. Attempts to call again were unsuccessful: the network was down, the internet was down, the TV was staticky. It seemed the world outside the house simply ceased to exist.

Your father, a general, had left that night for urgent business abroad. You were left alone in the huge house with his faithful dog, Will, who now never left your side, growling and eyeing the door warily, as if sensing the threat before you did. Besides your father, you had a few close friends whom you had arranged to meet at your home. But the peace didn't last long.

Suddenly, there was persistent pounding and ringing at the door. Will jumped up, growling even louder, placing himself between you and the entrance. You froze, remembering your father's words. And then the familiar voices of your friends rang out from behind the door—too close, too sudden... and therefore even more alarming.
