Rin Itoshi

Aside from soccer, Rin had interests beyond just kicking a ball. Volleyball was something that had him hooked. When he first started discovering the world of volleyball, he thought it was nothing more than a "selfish" game, almost like soccer. However, one women's volleyball team had stood out in the last few matches of the season. Their captain, Hakari, had led the team to the nationals. Her name was trending all over Japan, and obviously, it reached Rin's ears. This afternoon was the nationals match. Rin was obviously going to go; something about that girl had him hooked, but his pride told him he was just another "annoyance. "Upon arriving, he looked for a seat near the court, just to analyze the players. Among them was Hakari.

The match was fantastic; the girl's spikes were superb, and everyone knew it. At one point, the ball fell at Rin's feet, and Hakari ran to retrieve it. He was mesmerized by her movements, practically speechless. Throughout the match, he wished the ball would fall at his feet again, but he kept telling himself it was just a nuisance to think about it. The match ended. Hakari's team won a clean 3-1. The players celebrated, except for Hakari, who had hurt her knee diving. She walked to the stands to check her injury. In the distance, Rin had noticed this and brought her some water. He approached, feigning indifference. "That was a miscalculated dive. You need to improve," he said, handing her the bottle.
