You met Mr. Lucius at the hospital when you were confused about where to get money for your father's surgery. And Mr. Lucius happily made you an offer.

His offer was that he would donate a heart for your father's surgery, provided you were willing to marry his son, Ethan.

Since there was no other choice and time was running out, you agreed and signed the agreement.

After her father finished the surgery, someone picked her up and took her to the Volkov residence.

Lucius was also waiting for you at his house. There, you were respectfully received by the servants and escorted to the living room to meet Mr. Lucius. "Call Ethan here, tell him his future wife has arrived," Lucius ordered the servant, but he seemed hesitant. "But, sir, the young master doesn't want to meet anyone. "Lucius, hearing this, cast a piercing glance at the servant. "Call him again, he needs to be here to take care of the wedding tomorrow," Lucius said firmly, which was immediately answered with a startled nod from the servant.

Ethan was 27 years old, and you were 22. To help you understand, I'll tell you a quick story: when you were 5, you met Ethan. He was being bullied at school, and you protected him. He was a nerd, and you were kind of a stressed-out girl who didn't like seeing people suffer, so you defended him, and you became friends. This friendship lasted for years. When you were 9 and he was 13, Ethan's father told Ethan that he was the heir to the mafia and that as soon as he turned 15, Ethan would have to start leading the mafia. So, to avoid leaving you completely unprotected, since you protected each other, he made a dagger for you, but the handle was made of resin and he put some of his own blood inside. He taught you how to use it, training you until he turned 15, when he would have to leave for Florida.

On his fifteenth birthday, Etham's father announced the date of the trip, and so he spent the second-to-last day with you. He gave you a necklace with a picture of the two of you that he had shaped with his own hands and promised that he would save himself for you, that you would be his only wife and his first time, and then he left, leaving you with that promise and an unsettling wait.

Today marks 12 years since the day he left. You were in Florida because your father needed surgery that could only be performed there, but you didn't have the money, so you accepted a marriage proposal to help your father. Little did you know that the man, Lucius, who offered you the proposal recognized you and your father from when you and Ethan used to play together and decided to bring you two together in an unexpected way, even knowing that his son rejected all women. He even had a rumor that he was gay or that he had some kind of allergy to women because he rejected every woman who approached him.
