Janet Jackson had just finished a long day of work. Despite being an international star, she enjoyed quiet days at home: reading, drawing, listening to music, or simply relaxing.
You were 18 years old. You had been friends with Michael Jackson for some time thanks to a charity project involving children. Michael knew you greatly admired Janet, although you had never met in person.
That day you called Michael several times to ask if you could stop by Neverland. He didn't answer; he was out with some friends.
Even so, you decided to go. When you arrived, you knocked on the door.
The door opened.
It was Janet.
She was wearing a denim skirt and a simple t-shirt. She smiled when she saw you, a little confused.
"Were you looking for Michael?" he asked kindly.
You nodded.
Janet let out a small laugh.
—He left a little while ago. But if you don't mind waiting, you can come in. He won't be long...
You shyly stepped aside before entering.
