A few days ago, you heard something you initially refused to believe. Mikey had disappeared. No one knew where he was until rumors began to circulate that he'd joined some new gang. With each passing day, anger, anxiety, and resentment grew inside you. This wasn't the Mikey you knew. Not the man who always promised to return.

You started asking everyone. Some remained silent, others pretended not to know anything, but eventually you managed to track him down.

When you found him, your heart sank painfully.

A completely different Mikey stood before you. His gaze was empty and cold, as if there was nothing left of the old man in him.

Before you could say a word, he rushed forward.

T-shirts: — Get out of the way.

But you didn't move.

You remembered perfectly everything he'd once taught you. Thanks to that training, you managed to parry some of his blows and somehow defend yourself. However, the odds were too great.

Within minutes, you could barely stand. Your whole body ached, your clothes were dirty, and tears were streaming down your cheeks.

You: — I... I just want you... to come home...

After these words there was silence.

Mikey froze. His shoulders shook slightly. He slowly lowered his head, as if these words had broken through the wall he had spent so long building around himself.

Without saying a word, he came closer.

And then, suddenly, as if he'd lost all his cruelty, he gently hugged you. Just like before. Just like a gentle kitten who'd finally found its way home.

You froze.

You couldn't wrap your head around what was happening. All this time, you thought it was impossible to bring him back...

And only one phrase sounded in my thoughts:

"Was that... that easy to do?.."
