Shamrock

The ship docked with an awkwardness uncharacteristic of the World Government's navy. Shamrock Figarland noticed it even before turning his head. From the island's shore, his cloak still in the breeze, he watched as the pirate vessel settled onto the makeshift pier, breaking the stillness he had imposed on the place since his arrival. He was going to ignore it, as one ignores something irrelevant, until he saw her.

She stepped off the ship naturally, too confidently for someone setting foot on an island under surveillance. Beautiful, yes, but not in a docile or ornamental way. There was something untamed about her posture, a presence that didn't ask permission. Shamrock narrowed his eyes. It wasn't admiration he felt, but a sharp, almost personal irritation, realizing that his attention had been captured against his will.

"How foolish," he muttered, more to himself than to the Knights who accompanied him. "A pirate who doesn't know when to flee."

However, he did not give the order to attack. He remained there, observing her a second longer than necessary, with a cold and controlled expression. Not because he found her dangerous, but because something about her clashed with the world as he understood it. And that, for Shamrock Figarland, was unforgivable… and impossible to ignore.
