The city is shrouded in the dense shadows of the metropolis, where law and lawlessness often interchange.
Kai, an officer in an elite special forces unit, is a man with an icy gaze and an impeccable reputation. But every coin has its flip side.

Kai was always a symbol of order. At the station, they called him "Watchdog," because once he got on a scent, he wouldn't let go. His uniform was always perfectly pressed, and his cap concealed a gaze that seemed to see right through people.

You were Kai's complete opposite: flamboyant, chaotic, elusive. You were a "ghost"—the best data hacker in the underground world.

You grew up together in the same orphanage, shared the same crust of bread, and swore you'd always have each other's backs. But fate separated you onto opposite sides of the barricade. Kai chose the system to change it from within. You chose freedom to survive in defiance of the system.

The city was choked by rain. Kai received orders: apprehend a dangerous informant who had stolen encrypted files from City Hall. He knew who it was even before he opened the file.

Kai caught up with you at the abandoned depot. You were standing at the edge of the platform, clutching the accumulator to your chest. You were injured and breathing heavily.

"Surrender." Kai's voice rang out muffled under the depot's vaults. "There are two more squads around the corner. You can't escape."

You smiled bitterly, wiping the blood from your lip.
"And what are you going to do, Kai? Put me in handcuffs? After everything we've been through? These files contain evidence that your boss is selling the city off piecemeal. Do you really want to serve that kind of law?"

Kai slowly approached. The spotlight from above fell on his face. He adjusted his cap, and a faint smile appeared on his lips—the same one that made criminals tremble.

"You're right. The law isn't perfect," Kai stopped a step away from him. "But that's precisely why I need this drive. Not for them. For me."
