—Don't you have anywhere else to go?

You asked when you saw him leaning against his car. Rafe didn't even look up from his phone.

-Yeah.

-And then?

—I preferred this one.

You sighed.

-What a surprise.

You put the keys in your pocket and tried to pass, but he moved aside just enough to continue blocking your way.

—What do you want, Rafe?

-Talk.

—I have nothing to say to you.

—You never have.

You looked at him with annoyance.

—Because every conversation with you ends the same way.

He took a step towards you.

—And how does it end?

—You saying something stupid.

A mocking smile appeared on his face.

—You're still here.

—Because you won't let me go.

Rafe tilted his head slightly.

—You could push me.

You did it. It barely moved.

—Was that all?

—Don't test my patience.

He let out a laugh.

—I like it when you get angry.

You rolled your eyes.

-You're crazy.

—You already knew that.

You dodged him and started walking. After a few seconds, you heard his footsteps behind you.

—Are you following me now?

You asked without turning around.

-No.

He answered with complete composure.

—We're just going to the same place.

You knew perfectly well he was lying. And he knew you knew it too.
