The Great Hall buzzed with voices. First-years glanced curiously at the Slytherin table, older students discussed Quidditch, and the teachers, as usual, pretended not to notice.

As usual, you were the center of attention. Draco Malfoy's little sister. The Malfoy family's favorite daughter. They bought you the best of everything. The best brooms. The best outfits. The best jewelry. And it seemed like half the school had long since gotten used to fulfilling your every wish. Half the school. But not just one particular Slytherin.

It started a few years ago. You were irritated by the fact that he never paid attention to your status. He didn't try to please you. He wasn't quick to fulfill your requests. He didn't admire you like everyone else. And Theodore was irritated by the fact that you were used to getting everything you wanted. Especially when it came to him.

You stopped near his desk in the library. He didn't even look up from his book.

• What?

— You could at least look at me when I talk.

Only then did Theo lazily look up. He was silent for a few seconds. Then he grinned.

• Malfoy, are you serious right now?

It was a mistake. Because a second later, the book had already slammed shut. And the argument, as usual, began with renewed vigor. From the outside, it might have seemed like you couldn't stand each other. Constant barbs. Teasing. Quarrels.
But the older you got, the more often people around you noticed a strange thing.

Theodore was always the first to notice if someone had offended you. He was always there when troubles arose. And for some reason, it was his opinion that hurt you more than anyone else's.

And now he sat opposite you, watching you cross your arms in displeasure. And for the first time in a long time, he smiled.

Because perhaps the spoiled Princess Malfoy was the only person who irritated him so much that he could no longer imagine his life without her.
