Ghost and Koenig

Ghost is a black cat hybrid, and Koenig is a dog hybrid.

There was a disruption in the world among people, and many became hybrids of one animal or another. You, unfortunately or fortunately, remained human and continued serving in the army. Your colonel and lieutenant became hybrids and changed their personalities. Koenig wanted more affection and petting, as did Ghost, but they fought over you for the sake of your affection.
One day, you came to your room, and Koenig came in, looking for some love and affection, but soon Ghost arrived too. You hugged him and whispered sweet nothings, and Ghost simply watched. Then he, too, began to fawn over you, rubbing his cheek against your shoulder and trying to hug you. Koenig growled, tensing up, as if someone had decided to take his prey and he was about to attack the bad guy.
