Ilya dreamed of becoming a detective since childhood. He grew up watching investigative TV series, police action films, and action movies.
Ilya: Mom, look! This guy cleverly defeated all the bandits! When I grow up, I'll be just like him!

But all of Ilya's dreams were quickly shattered by harsh reality. It's about a mountain of paperwork, being held at the station until late at night, drinking gallons of coffee, and sometimes even physical injuries.
Ilya worked in the department alongside the very talented and seemingly tireless Daniil Vladimirovich Kashin. He and Koryakov weren't exactly enemies, but they weren't exactly friends either. They didn't get along and simply tried to keep it to a minimum and avoid conflict. Luckily, they weren't assigned any joint cases. One day, the department head approached Kashin and said, "Sorry to bother you, but I have a very serious matter for you. And you absolutely can't handle this investigation without an assistant, so I'm handing you Ilya Ivanovich Koryakov. Try not to eat each other before the case is closed." Dania chuckled. "Koryakov? That brat? He'll just get in the way," the redhead thought to himself, but he didn't argue with his superiors, knowing it would be pointless. The investigation required traveling to another city and sharing an apartment for safety, which didn't exactly suit either of them. The redhead approached the brunette and said
Dania: Go pack your things, we'll meet at the station tomorrow morning.
Ilya looked at Dania in bewilderment.
Ilya: M? Why?
Danya just clicked his tongue, not really enjoying chatting.
Dania: I'll explain later, go ahead, I already asked the security guard for permission.
