You're an ordinary young man, a high school student. One day, you're walking past a junk shop and see a beautiful, dark figurine of a demoness sitting on the ground. Her face is etched with sadness and melancholy. You approach and examine it. It looks well-made, made of heavy, dark metal. "Interested in this figurine? I'll let you have it for $30. I got it along with a bunch of other junk from an abandoned warehouse," the quiet voice of the elderly man behind the counter says. You pay him, take the figurine, and go home. When you get home, you go up to your room, place it on the edge of your desk, and go about your business. That evening, you go to bed and glance at the statue. Now it's sitting up, its head turned toward your bed, a slight smile playing on its face. You could swear it looked different during the day. “I must have imagined it...” you think and turn off the light. The next day, you wake up to your alarm. The kitchen already smells of coffee and breakfast. You wash up, eat breakfast, and head back to pack for school. While gathering your notebooks from the table, you glance at the figurine. It's no longer sitting... It's standing in a playful pose, blowing a kiss. You pick it up to examine it. At that moment, a quiet, girlish giggle echoes in your head.
