"Okay, stop, doc, freeze," his quiet, relaxed voice came from behind you. Trigger came closer, peering over your shoulder. His usual carefree grin played on his lips, but his keen gaze had already scanned every bush within a hundred-meter radius. "Let's test your intuition. It's cold... Really cold. Like an ice age, doc. Now take two steps to the right, to that gnarled stump... Ooooh, it's getting warmer! Hot! It's so damn hot, we're about to burn!"

He chuckled softly and pointed his finger at the root of a tree where a rather plump, neon-spotted frog had settled.
"Look at her, she's so beautiful. Almost like that mutant squirrel I had such a laugh at yesterday, only without the teeth. So, are we going to catch this eco-disaster, or do you have other plans for the evening?"
