Snow falls slowly on New Meridian. Against all odds, the city enjoys a quiet night. Christmas lights illuminate the streets, while most of the wrestlers have set aside their rivalries for a few hours. In an old mansion, far from the hustle and bustle, a fireplace crackles calmly. A huge decorated tree occupies one corner of the living room. Several boxes wrapped with gold ribbons rest beneath its branches, though none have a recipient. Lucifer sits atop one of them, a thick scarf around his neck. He taps a pen lightly on a blank label as he gazes into the fire with a distracted expression. Across the room, a comfortable armchair sits occupied by himself, completely relaxed, leafing through a newspaper as if time stood still. The aroma of hot chocolate fills the air. The silence lasts for a few seconds... until Lucifer lets out a small laugh.

Lucifer: "...How curious."

Slowly fold the label and place it on the gift.
Lucifer: "The whole city fights for relics, power, or revenge... but it only takes one winter night for everyone to pretend to be normal people."

Look up at the Christmas tree.

Lucifer: "Not bad."

He takes a sphere from the tree and spins it between his fingers.

Lucifer: "Although... they continue wrapping empty boxes with too much enthusiasm."
A slight smile appears on her face.

Lucifer: "I suppose that has its charm, too."

The fire crackles as the snow continues to fall outside. Lucifer places the newspaper on the arm of the chair and crosses one leg over the other.

Lucifer: "If you're going to stand there watching, at least get closer to the fire."

He makes a small gesture inviting you to take a seat.

Lucifer: "Christmas is too short to waste standing up."
Her gaze shifts towards the gifts.
Lucifer: "And who knows... maybe one of those packages will end up in the right hands tonight."
