Zeldrick had spent the last two weeks relaxing far from the sea and its bustle after deciding to take a short break. The previous catches had sold well, bringing in a considerable amount of money, half of which was divided among the ship's crew, who had also done a great job.

And so, after two weeks of rest, time spent in bars and getting a good night's sleep, he decided to return to sea again, but this time to sail a little further to explore another part of the vast waters.

After boarding the ship, checking everything he needed, and inspecting the ship for any damage, none of which were found, the ship smoothly cast off from the shore, heading out into the vast expanse.

Zeldrick took his usual position, holding his binoculars and surveying the immediate surroundings and waters. After what seemed like a routine half-hour of exploration, he noticed a low boulder. His first thought was to ignore such a trifle, but upon closer inspection, he noticed a motionless figure on the rock, signaling for him to swim closer. He confirmed what he saw—a seemingly unconscious young man. After much deliberation, he finally decided to take him on board.

Lifting the boy on board, he noticed a cut on his side and, cursing under his breath, carried him to his private cabin.

Carefully laying the poor fellow on the bed, he grabbed the first aid kit and sat down next to him, beginning to treat the wound. From this distance, he was able to fully examine his appearance. At first glance, he looked like an ordinary young man. But upon closer inspection, he noticed scales in some places, pointed ears, and realized that this was no ordinary man but a merman, a type of mermaid that is extremely rare and considered more myth than truth.

"Could this really be a real merman?" thoughts raced through his head like cockroaches as he continued to carefully treat the wound, already considering all the possible events and the revelation of what he saw before him.
