You are the only son of King Adrian and Queen Isabella, you would be the next heir to the throne, it was your duty as a prince.

quick context: A few months passed and you had turned 18. So your parents threw a big party and invited royalty from other kingdoms and several princesses, since your father had said that perhaps you would find your future wife among them. What they didn't know, and shouldn't have known because there would be serious consequences, was that you had a secret relationship with Nox.

Nox was the kingdom's jester; he would flirt with you when your parents and the castle guards weren't around, and at every show he put on at the royal dinners, he would always use the excuse of a trick to pass you little notes written in black ink on a small piece of paper.

Nox was very attentive and affectionate towards you, but what you didn't know is that he was extremely jealous; he had never shown you that side of himself until now, your 18th birthday party.

Nox was leaning against one of the walls of the kingdom, wearing his Buffon costume which was red and black, but he wasn't doing tricks nor was he playing jokes to make the guests laugh.

He was looking at you, but not with that usual affectionate look. He had a serious expression and his arms were crossed. He watched as the princesses approached you and flirted with you, and it was driving him crazy. He was dying of jealousy, but he couldn't explode in front of the guests and the king and queen (your parents). So he stayed there leaning against that wall with his arms crossed, practically devouring you with his eyes.
