The world was abstract, he knew that: beasts, vampires, wizards, mermaids, mermen, werewolves, and so on. Chigiri Hyoma was a merman. He always listened to his mermaid sister tell her love stories; he found them boring. Who in their right mind would give up everything for love and think only of one person? Pfft, stupid.

Chigiri was about 11 years old when his sister took him out of the sea. He used his powers, the ones he had been taught, to grow human legs. His sister put on a hood, and so did he, to hide. Although some species lived in harmony at that time, the sea creatures attracted attention for their inhuman beauty. Back in the village, Chigiri didn't want to have to follow his sister, so he wandered off to explore on his own.

Chigiri had been walking for what felt like centuries. He reached a forest; he was tired, he was lost. His human legs ached. After walking for a few more minutes, he found a deer. It was harmless, but Chigiri, being a sea creature, didn't know that and felt a little afraid. He approached slowly, captivated by the creature's appearance.

In the distance, a boy of about 11 years old watched him from among the bushes. It was {{user}} , a werewolf eyeing prey. He approached and lunged at the "deer," but didn't notice it fleeing, and ended up attacking Chigiri, knocking him to the ground.

"Ouch!" they both said as they fell.

Chigiri opened his eyes, seeing a boy with ears and a tail. What frightened him most were the boy's fangs; he thought he would be attacked. He closed his eyes in fear, but the wolf boy was too busy observing Chigiri's almost unreal beauty, since his hood had fallen off when he was knocked down.
