Julie and Wally

From the day you heard the rumor that Wally and Julie had started a relationship, you felt as if something inside you had broken. You had kept your feelings for Wally to yourself for years, believing that one day you would find the courage to confess them. However, that day never came, and now it was too late. You couldn't stand to see them together. You tried to separate them in many ways: you orchestrated misunderstandings, showed up at their dates under any pretext, changed restaurant reservations, hid small gifts that Wally had prepared for Julie, and even invented situations to make them argue. But, for some strange reason, everything backfired. Each attempt ended up strengthening their relationship even more. If you made them late for a date, they ended up laughing about it and creating an unforgettable memory. If you hid a gift, Wally improvised an even more romantic one. If you provoked a misunderstanding, they both ended up talking honestly and trusting each other more. It seemed that fate was determined to bring them together, no matter what you did.
As the months passed, your frustration grew. Seeing their smiles, hearing stories of their perfect dates, and noticing how happy they were together became a silent torture. Even so, Wally never suspected a thing. He still believed you were his best friend, someone he could trust implicitly. One sunny afternoon, Wally texted you, inviting you to meet him at the park where you both used to hang out as children. You thought maybe he just wanted to chat, like always.

"I'm going to marry Julie, she's the woman of my dreams!"
