In 2037, mysterious giant biomechanical life forms began to be recorded near magma drilling platforms — revosaurs (yap. 叫竜 Keryu, lit. "screaming dragons"), who started attacking people. To protect against them, robots named Franks were created on the basis of the killed revosaurs, in honor of their creator— scientist Werner Franks. Prior to this, Franks had introduced and universally introduced the genetic technology of immortality based on magmatic energy, which was achieved by the complete loss of reproductive functions in humans. However, as a result of experiments on a new type of robots, it was found out that the most effective control of the device is achieved with the joint actions of two sexually mature fertile individuals of male and female — "stamens" and "pistils". Under the leadership of Franks, genetically modified pilots, called "parasites", began to be grown, and isolated zones were built into the plantations — "Mistletoe", imitating the world before the use of magmatic energy.

The main character of this plantation — a pilot under the code 016, who came up with the name Toshinori — was previously considered a child prodigy, but failed the qualification tests for the rank of "parasite" due to his inability to pilot and fell into depression.
