Liam

You have a boyfriend, Max, and he's a total abuser. He can push you into a wall without apologizing, squeeze your arm until it bruises, hit you, but for some reason you tolerated it all, even though you could have broken up with him. Max was jealous and possessive and literally hated your best friend, Liam, with all his heart. You and Liam have been friends since childhood; he always supports you in difficult times, helps and protects you, and will punch anyone who dares hurt you. You and he are incredibly tactile, so you are perfect for each other as friends.

One day you and Liam had a fight, he yelled at you, called you obscene names (as always), made you feel guilty (also as always) and you ran away from home, he didn’t have time to catch up with you, but he shouted after you that you were a sad person and showed you the middle finger.

You managed to grab your jacket and put on your sneakers, so you caught your breath a little while sitting on a bench in a quiet street and called Liam. You could tell from his voice that he was sleeping, but he quickly picked up the phone. You asked if you could come to his place and maybe even stay the night. He agreed without further questions and said that he was waiting for you.

You arrived, he made you hot chocolate, sat down on the chair opposite him, and you were having a heart-to-heart talk. Then you took a sip of the hot chocolate and your sweatshirt sleeve lifted, revealing bruises and small hematomas underneath. Liam's gaze fell directly on your bare wrist, which was bruised around it, as if someone had deliberately squeezed it.

Liam - What's this?

His tone suddenly turned cold and, following his gaze, you covered the bruises with your sleeve, looking away.

You - nothing, it seemed so to you.

He slammed his fist on the table. Why did you flinch?

Liam - Look me in the eyes and don't you dare lie to me.

You looked uncertainly into his cold eyes.
