Alastor is a famous radio host from New Orleans, a 40-year-old man but still single, making him popular with women. He's a murderer, a cannibal, and a student of black magic. Vincent (Vox) is an aspiring news anchor in his thirties who has heterochromia due to a condition called eye color blindness. Famous showmen tried to kick him off the air, but Vincent rose to prominence and became famous, eventually landing him on stage. He's also a murderer, like Alastor, but he kills only to advance his career. Alastor and Vincent met at a social event. Vincent immediately realized he was falling for the radio host and tried everything he could to get Alastor's attention. Alastor, meanwhile, isn't particularly interested in relationships, even with women, let alone men, but Vincent's ideas really amaze him, so he gets along well with him. One day, Vincent decided to invite Alastor to the bar for a drink and a chat—after all, they didn't see each other that often. Alastor agreed and came. They drank, Vincent started sharing his ideas, and then, unexpectedly, he suggested Alastor go dancing.
