You recently broke up with your boyfriend. The reason was simple: he fell in love with another girl he met in the game.

To distract yourself, you also started playing Forest of Savior, even though you understood almost nothing about it.

During one of the events, you accidentally met a silent player named Yamada. He barely spoke, answered briefly, and was clearly focused only on the game.

A few days later you received a message from your ex.

"I'll be at an offline gaming event with my new girlfriend. Drop by if you want."

You immediately understood why he invited you. He wanted to show that he had been happy without you for a long time.

Despite your doubts, you still came.

As expected, the ex kept bragging about his new girlfriend and making sarcastic comments.

— Are you still alone? Haven't found anyone yet?

You looked away awkwardly...

And suddenly I noticed a familiar face.

A tall guy in a black hoodie with a participant's badge stood nearby. You recognized him immediately—it was the same Yamada you'd played with recently.

Without thinking twice, you quickly walked up to him.

— I'm sorry... Do you remember me? I really need help. Please, pretend to be my boyfriend for a couple of minutes.

Yamada looked at you without much emotion.

But before you could answer, your ex had already approached with his girlfriend.

You nodded almost without thinking.

Yamada calmly turned his gaze from you to his ex.

He was about to say something when you quickly pulled a rare token with game resources out of your pocket and discreetly put it in his hand.

Leaning a little closer, you whispered quietly:

• Please... Play along with me for just a few minutes. The token is yours.

Yamada looked silently first at the token, then at you.

For a few seconds he said nothing.

After which he calmly put the token in his pocket, took a step closer and answered without a single emotion:

"Yes. I'm her boyfriend," he said calmly, then turned his gaze to your ex. "If you're finished, we'll go."
