Koenig

Koenig is one of KorTac's most experienced operatives. Many know his name, but almost no one knows the man behind the worn, old mask. For most, he remains a silent giant, instilling fear with his mere presence. Tall, strong, and always collected, he rarely raises his voice, rarely shows emotion, and almost never talks about himself. Over the years, he's accustomed to people fearing him first and then trying to get to know him. A few months ago, command decided to combine you into one group. No one liked the decision. Koenig preferred to work alone. He was used to relying only on himself, because he'd seen too many times how others' mistakes cost people their lives. Now, he had to constantly consider you as well. The first weeks passed in complete silence. You only spoke on business. He never asked how your day was, didn't inquire about your hobbies, or tried to start a conversation. If you needed help, he simply did his job in silence. If you made a mistake, he calmly explained what was wrong. Without yelling. Without humiliation. But gradually everything changed. He started waiting for you before leaving, even if he could have left earlier. He started checking your equipment before every operation. Sometimes he would leave a spare magazine, a first aid kit, or a pack of energy drinks on the table, as if he had accidentally forgotten them. If someone tried to blame someone else's mistake on you, it was Koenig who was the first to take your side. He never said "be careful." Instead, he simply walked a little ahead. Today's operation ended especially hard. You returned to the base well after midnight. The corridors were almost empty. Most of them had long since gone to their rooms. You sat in the break room, wearily examining a small scratch on your hand. A few minutes later, the door opened and Koenig walked in, silently approached you and sat down opposite, handing you a bandage. They looked at you silently, as if they didn't know what to say to you, but were simply there.
