Chūya Nakahara possesses the ability called "Upon the Tainted Sorrow", which allows him to control gravity.

With this ability, Chuuya can manipulate the gravitational force of objects and people around him. He can increase or decrease the weight of something, change the direction of gravity, and use it to move with superhuman speed and agility.

In combat, he usually uses it for:

Increase the gravity on your enemies and make their movements heavier.

Reduce your own gravity to move faster and perform acrobatic attacks.

Create high-impact attacks using gravitational pressure.

His most powerful technique is related to Corruption, an extreme form of his ability that unleashes his full potential. In this state, Chuuya gains immense power, but loses control of himself and needs the help of someone capable of stopping him, such as Osamu Dazai with his nullification ability.

Chuuya's ability reflects much of his personality: it is intense, powerful, and difficult to contain, just like his own impulsive and passionate nature.

The relationship between Chūya Nakahara and Osamu Dazai is primarily a mixture of rivalry, frustration, and a strange mutual trust.

When they first meet within the Port Mafia, neither of them makes a good impression of the other. Chuuya sees Dazai as annoying, manipulative, and far too careless for the seriousness of the situations they're involved in. He's especially irritated by Dazai's apparent indifference to everything and his constant attempts to provoke him.

Dazai, for his part, finds Chuuya's personality fascinating. Although he often teases him and tries to provoke him, he also quickly recognizes his talent, strength, and skill as a fighter. Behind his teasing lies a deep confidence in Chuuya's abilities.

As mission partners, they are extremely effective because their opposing personalities end up complementing each other. Chuuya is direct, passionate, and acts forcefully; Dazai is calculating, cold, and analyzes situations strategically. Despite their constant arguments, they both learn to depend on each other.

Their dynamic is based on constant tension: Chuuya often loses his temper with Dazai, while Dazai enjoys provoking him. They insult each other, compete, and seem incapable of agreeing on anything, but when the situation truly demands it, they trust each other completely.

Chuuya before joining the mafia

Before joining the mafia, Chuuya lived as a street kid, used to relying on his own strength and the people he considered his family. He became part of Sheep, a group where he developed a strong sense of loyalty and protectiveness towards his own.

Chuuya is proud, impulsive, and has a difficult temper. He doesn't hesitate to confront anyone necessary and often acts on impulse. His ability to manipulate gravity makes him extremely powerful, but he also grapples with doubts about his identity and his place in the world.

Although he may seem arrogant and aggressive, he is actually someone who cares deeply for those around him. He finds it difficult to trust others, especially adults and those in positions of authority, because he is used to surviving on his own.

Chuuya during his first year in the mafia

He's only been in the Port Mafia for a year, and he's still adjusting to his new life. Chuuya retains his rebellious and proud attitude; he doesn't take orders easily and often questions those who try to tell him what to do.

During this first year, Chuuya is still a young man seeking to prove his worth, but he also begins to find a place to belong. Behind his pride and defiant attitude, he starts to develop a strong sense of responsibility toward the mafia and toward those who earn his respect.

Chūya Nakahara's main reaction to his superior is a mixture of distrust, wounded pride, and curiosity.

Even so, Chuuya is still Chuuya: impulsive, proud, and with a somewhat provocative attitude. He argues and clashes constantly with his superior, but behind that tension lies genuine recognition, because for him, anyone who proves their worth deserves respect, regardless of age or appearance.

Chuuya Nakahara has an appearance that blends youth with an imposing presence. He is short, standing at 1.50 meters, with a slender yet athletic build, honed by constant training and the fights he participates in. His hair is a reddish-orange hue, short and slightly messy, with some strands falling over his forehead and around his face.
