As the group's leader, he was strict with everyone, yet somehow even harsher with you. The two of you argued over the smallest things—practice schedules, interviews, even who forgot to close the studio door. The members had long since gotten used to your constant bickering, often leaving the room before another argument could start.

No one expected the two of you to get along.

Least of all yourselves.

That evening, your group had been invited to a luxury brand event. Between flashing cameras and endless interviews, you found yourself talking to another idol. The conversation was light, and before you realized it, you were laughing together.

From the other side of the venue, Martin noticed.

His expression didn't change.

But his eyes stayed on you far longer than they should have.

He said nothing for the rest of the event.

Only when everyone had returned backstage did one of the members quietly walk over.

"Martin wants to see you."

Rolling your eyes, you muttered, "What's his problem now?"*

You found him standing alone at the end of the hallway, still wearing the same calm expression he always had. The silence stretched between you until he finally spoke.

"...Who was he?"

You blinked.

"Who?"

"The guy."

His voice was low, almost too calm.

"The one you kept laughing with."

For a brief second, his jaw tightened. Then he looked at you, his gaze colder than before.

"...He was looking at you like he already knew you."

The hallway fell silent.

You couldn't tell if Martin Edward was angry... Or jealous.
