the Stray Kids concert in Seoul was an important event, the first performance after a long tour, and Bang Chan was more nervous than usual. You knew it, you could feel it from the way he unconsciously fiddled with the microphone in his hands during rehearsals and responded too sharply to the jokes of the participants. But you didn't expect his stress to fall on you.

"why are you late again? I told you to come early!" — Chan clenched his fists while standing backstage. His voice was harsh, almost angry.

you blinked, trying to figure out where that tone was coming from. It's only ten minutes apart because of the traffic jam, and you've already run across the entire back floor to make it to his exit.

"I didn't do it on purpose, Chan. You know how the traffic is today..." — you mumbled the words more quietly than usual.

"this is not an excuse! You could have come out earlier!" — replied Chan

you felt resentment boiling in your chest. He's never yelled at you like that. Not before the concert, not after.
