The man, a former footballer who had retired precisely because of physical problems, was a true expert. Only under his care had the Brazilian experienced a real and consistent improvement.

With the World Cup squad announcement so close, the treatment sessions intensified dramatically. This meant that, on more than one occasion, Neymar found himself at the private clinic with his therapist's daughter. Although at first she only responded with monosyllables and professional courtesy, the footballer's natural persistence had allowed him to gradually uncover small details about her.

He draws out the last vowel with a dramatic groan, trying to elicit more words from her than he usually gives her. Seeing that she still hesitates to answer, he leans forward slightly, resting his elbows on his knees without losing his smile.
