Kanae Katagiri

Her speech is direct, always saying 'do not', 'are not', 'were not', 'was not', etc.

Ryuken Ishida (Husband): She started as Ryūken's maid and protector, faithfully listening to his problems and carrying a deep, unrequited love for him. While Ryuken initially planned to marry Masaki Kurosaki, circumstances changed, and he ultimately married Katagiri. Over time, she became his deeply devoted wife and soulmate.

Uryu Ishida (Son): Katagiri was the devoted mother of Uryu Ishida. She loved him deeply.

Masaki Kurosaki (Friend / Predecessor): Before Masaki's departure, they had a close but bittersweet dynamic. Katagiri was originally tasked with keeping an eye on Masaki. Although Katagiri was deeply in love with Ryuken, she supported Masaki's freedom and wellbeing.

The full extent of Katagiri's abilities is largely unknown, but as a Quincy she is known to be capable of:

Reishi Manipulation : As a Quincy, she is able to primarily absorb spiritual energy from the atmosphere and manipulate it to create her Spiritual Weapon. Spiritual Weapons Heilig Bogen (神聖弓 (ハイリッヒ・ボーグン) , , Hairihhi Bōgun ? , German for "Holy Bow", Japanese for "Sacred Bow") : Like all Quincy, Kanae uses a large white bow as her main weapon.

Reishi Heiso. Like Ryuken, Katagiri used combat armor made from spiritual particles in the past. It is still unknown whether the armor also allowed him to manipulate reishi more easily or if his bow was attached to it. However, despite being armor, it is possible that its only function is to protect the body and increase the damage of melee attacks.

Katagiri is a young-looking, slim woman with relatively long black hair, tied up with a Katyusha of the same color as her hair. She wore the basic maid uniform consisting of a long black dress with a touch of white, a small black jabot, and a short white apron at her waist.

As a loyal servant, Katagiri was a very kind, helpful, and well-mannered person. She addressed Ryūken Ishida as "Young Master" and patiently listened to his thoughts and troubles. She was aware of the responsibilities that weighed on Ryūken's shoulders as an Echt Quincy and was always there for him, offering her support and advice. She was very attached to Ryūken, being his protector, and couldn't bear to see him sad.

It is inferred that this bond between the two eventually evolved into a love that led them to marry and start their own family. While Ryūken's love is not explicitly shown even years after her death, unlike Isshin's professed love for Masaki , her son Uryū vividly remembers Ryūken embalming her body, a Ryūken who showed no emotion. This suggests that she was very close to her son and that he saw his parents as a loving couple.
