Seitaro is a young man (23 years old) with a distinctive appearance. He has very long, waist-length light blue hair, which he wears in a low ponytail adorned with two gold stars. His skin is fair, and his eyes are deep pink. He wears the standard Namba Prison guard uniform: a black jacket, a white shirt, a red tie, a red belt with a gold buckle, white gloves, knee-high black boots with red soles, and a cap with a gold emblem. Each sleeve of his jacket has a single yellow stripe, denoting his status as deputy warden. He wears a red armband with the number 13 on his left arm, and a nameplate with his name is pinned to his left chest.
Seitaro is a good-natured and polite man, but also rather shy, reserved, and easily upset. He tends to be tearful, which often leads to the inmates making fun of him. However, he doesn't hold grudges and tries to maintain good relationships with them. He is hardworking and strives to do his best at work. Despite his timidity, Seitaro displays determination and a willingness to help others. He is intelligent, has a good memory, and is generally patient.
However, he lacks self-confidence: he often doubts his abilities and believes himself unworthy of even simple tasks. He avoids conflict and, instead of harshly punishing prisoners, often tries to befriend them. Due to constant teasing, he is genuinely surprised and deeply touched when people treat him well.
Favorite colors: blue and cherry pink (a reference to his hair and eye color). Hobbies: sewing, reading, and mental arithmetic. Gaming skills: thanks to his excellent memory, he is very good at the Japanese game "Uta-garuta." Food preferences: he likes tofu (yudofu), but dislikes shiitake mushrooms. Popularity: his cute appearance makes him popular with women. Skills: he has an 8th dan in calligraphy.

He rarely takes anything seriously, takes difficulties lightly, and has a carefree demeanor. Niko is a big fan of anime, manga, and video games: he sees them not just as a hobby, but as a vital necessity, on par with food and medicine. He is very attached to his friends and suffers greatly from loneliness.
But there's an important nuance: Niko has a second personality. It emerges when the medication wears off. In this state, Niko becomes cruel and merciless: he begins talking about himself in the third person, loses his sense of physical limitations, and can cause serious harm to those around him—though he also harms himself along the way. Origin: He grew up in the American slums, where he lived as a homeless person. There, he was used as a test subject for drug and medication experiments, and was also unwittingly turned into a drug courier. He was eventually arrested.
Health issues: He's very sick and dependent on medication to survive. At first, he was afraid of injections, but at Namba they started giving him pills, and he even began to enjoy them, to the point of becoming addicted.
Favorite colors: yellow and green.
Allergy: to buckwheat.
Abilities: Niko can copy fighting techniques he sees, but this causes damage to his own body.

Hair: Purple, rather tousled. A prominent red mohawk adorns the center, with a strand falling between her yellow eyes. Her hair is adorned with beads (green, red, and yellow) and white and red feathers. Scar: A large, jagged scar runs across the bridge of her nose.

The top is almost completely unzipped, revealing his muscular chest. He wears dark brown boots, and a badge with his number is pinned to his left chest. There's an interesting contrast here: Rock was once violent and aggressive—it was for organizing an urban gang riot in America that he was arrested. But after meeting Jugo, his personality has noticeably softened. Now he combines various traits:

He is still loud, impulsive and proud.
At the same time, he's become significantly calmer and shows concern for his friends. He's retained his love of fighting: he's not shy about challenging both cellmates and guards, considering aggression an easy way to solve a problem.
He often overestimates his physical abilities and relies on his strength, which often leads to his being outsmarted. He also has other striking traits: he loves food (his favorite is donuts) and sees it not just as a necessity, but as a way to bring joy. The disgusting food in other prisons has even led him to escape several times, so at Nambak he tries to cook for himself.
He's also rather shallow in everyday life and doesn't think much about anything. He does have some cute weaknesses: he adores cats, and, according to Jugo, he snores loudly in his sleep.
Another unusual detail: Rock is able to sense “cursed” objects, such as ghosts.

Appearance
Height and build: 169 cm, 51 kg. A skinny teenager.
Hair: wavy, spiky, black with red streaks.

Eyes: Their main feature is heterochromia (the right eye is purple, the left is green). The eye color changes depending on the lighting. When Jugo activates his shackles, both eyes turn red.

Tattoos and scars: The identification number "15" is tattooed in black on his right cheek. Other tattoos are scattered across his body—numbers (likely numbers from previous prisons), barcodes on his shoulders, and black stars. He also has noticeable scars, such as those near his knees, elbows, and on his back.
Clothing: A traditional black-and-white striped prisoner jumpsuit, but it's torn at the neck, sleeves, and legs—where thick black shackles are attached to his wrists, neck, and ankles. When activated, they transform his limbs into powerful blades. An identification badge is pinned to his left chest. Jugo goes barefoot. Confident and impulsive, he gets bored very easily.
Limited skills. Aside from picking locks, he has almost no other talents. He can't read, write, count, or swim, and he has poor stamina and physical strength.
Compassionate and understanding. Despite his shortcomings, Jugo is highly regarded by his cellmates. All three friends noted that at some point he did something for them that changed their lives for the better. However, Jugo himself often doesn't remember these events and doesn't understand why his friends treat him the way they do.
Apathetic. He shows no interest in holidays and celebrations, and has no concept of greed or motivation (Hajime Sugoroku described him as having an "empty" personality). Jugo admits he's never truly enjoyed or desired anything, and envies his friends' excitement, deriving happiness from their company.
Tendency to blame himself. He often scolds himself and gets nervous about things he doesn't understand. But the presence of friends helps him calm down, and over time

Uno is a young man of above-average height (177 cm) and a well-built frame. He has ankle-length blond hair with dark pink highlights, which he wears in a thick braid. His face is framed by short, shaggy bangs. Uno has blue eyes, fair skin, long eyelashes, and thick eyebrows.
Piercing: ear studs.
Tattoos: Dark blue on his back and left arm. On the back of each hand, he has a dark blue tattoo of the number "1," which forms his identification number, "11."
Manicure: nails are painted blue.
Clothing: A blue and white striped prison jumpsuit, which he wears unbuttoned at the top—the sleeves are tied around his waist, revealing a black undershirt. He also wears a blue and white striped wristband on his right arm, a cap with gold letters spelling out the number "11" on it, a necklace with a large silver dog tag, and dark boots. His number plate is pinned to his left chest. Uno has a rather contradictory character. On the one hand, he is proud of his appearance and self-confident, often displaying vanity: he considers himself attractive and popular. This is evident in the fact that he carefully grooms himself every morning. He can be quite rude and tactless. On the other hand, despite his superficial attitude, Uno is not selfish. He is portrayed as a kind, warm, and friendly person who genuinely cares about his friends. He understands them well and is willing to accept them for who they are. Uno can offer advice, but he doesn't force his friends to share their secrets with him. Uno is also easily frightened. For example, while exploring the prison's underground section, he was terrified by the Jiang Shi killer dolls patrolling the area. However, for the sake of his friends, he is willing to face danger and challenge authority. He is an avid gambler, and as a result, he has developed not only a habit of cheating but also a high level of intuition. He is able to pick up on the habits and body language of others, allowing him to "read" them. These skills help him win battles.

Hajime is a tall man with a lightly tanned complexion. He is bald, but carefully conceals it under his cap. His most distinguishing feature is a cross-shaped scar under his left eye. He wears the standard guard uniform: a black jacket with a white shirt and red tie, black knee-high boots with red soles, a red belt with a gold buckle, white gloves, and a cap with the prison's gold emblem. He wears a red armband with the number 13 on his left arm, gold epaulets on his shoulders, and gold decorations on his shirt collar. Two yellow stripes on the sleeves of his jacket denote his status as chief warden.
Hajime is a stern and intimidating man who takes his duties very seriously. He's a workaholic and doesn't like weekends. However, he often breaks the rules: he hides the regular prisoner escapes from Block 13 from his superiors.
He's prone to violence and shouting when irritated, but he maintains a reserved demeanor with his superiors, even wary of them. He's also intelligent, aware of each inmate's weaknesses, and capable of outsmarting them, such as beating Uno at cards. Hajime is considered the strongest guard at Namba Prison in generations. He achieved his position through hard work and dedication. Throughout the series, he often finds himself in comical situations due to the inmates' antics, especially Jugo, who regularly stages escapes.
