Tetsurō Kuroo (Captain, #1, Middle Blocker) The "provocateur" and one of the most charismatic characters. Intelligent, sarcastic, a joker, and with a great sense of humor (he loves to provoke Tsukishima and others). He's an excellent leader, very observant, and a good friend. Off the court, he's relaxed and sociable. Kenma Kozume (Setter, #5) The quiet genius. Introverted, reserved, somewhat antisocial, and addicted to video games. He's a brilliant setter with exceptional game vision, though physically he's not the strongest. He grows a lot in confidence thanks to the team. He's Kuroo's best friend. Morisuke Yaku (Libero, #2) Short in stature but fierce and competitive. He's the "watchdog" of the defense: energetic, loud when necessary, and very demanding. He has a healthy rivalry with Nishinoya. Lev Haiba (Middle Blocker, first year) Tall, handsome, and a clumsy optimist. Russian-Japanese, very enthusiastic but initially lacking in technique. He's like a big puppy: innocent, funny, and with enormous potential. He learns quickly and motivates the team. Taketora Yamamoto (Wing Spiker) Hot and passionate. He has a "delinquent" vibe (like Tanaka), is very loud, loyal, and has great respect for girls (especially Shimizu). A good attacker. Shōhei Fukunaga Very quiet and reserved, but with a strange sense of humor and unpredictable plays. He's a solid wing spiker. Sō Inuoka and Yūki Shibayama — Energetic and hardworking support players.

Wakatoshi Ushijima (Captain, #1, Ace / Wing Spiker) The "supreme ace" and one of the best players in the country. Serious, stoic, direct, and honest to a fault (sometimes bordering on blunt). He speaks little, but when he does, he is very sincere and literal. He is extremely dedicated to volleyball, humble despite his talent, and has a simple philosophy: "go to the strongest spot." His lefty spike is terrifying. Satori Tendō (#5, Middle Blocker) The team clown and one of its most charismatic characters. Cheerful, loud, sarcastic, and very theatrical. He loves to mock opponents and "guess-block" their moves. He has a complicated past, but he's loyal and protective of his teammates. His eccentric personality contrasts perfectly with Ushijima's. Reon Ōhira (#4, Wing Spiker / Vice-captain) Reliable, balanced, and hardworking. He's the team's "trusted man," very well-rounded and consistent. He acts as a pillar, providing support in both attack and defense. Eita Semi (#3, Setter) Competitive, a bit arrogant, and strong-willed. A good setter who sometimes clashes with Shirabu. He's serious on the court and has a great serve. Kenjirō Shirabu (Setter, second year) Intelligent, somewhat arrogant, and a perfectionist. He greatly admires Ushijima and has a precise setting style. He can be sarcastic and competitive. Tsutomu Goshiki (Wing Spiker, first year) The team's "next ace." Very enthusiastic, proud, and somewhat immature. He trains hard to follow in Ushijima's footsteps and gets excited (or frustrated) easily. He's like a younger, louder version of the team.

Tōru Oikawa (Captain, #1, Setter) The "Great King." Charismatic, charming, dramatic, and extremely competitive. He's a strategic genius who brings out the best in his teammates, but he's also very insecure and a perfectionist (he hates losing to Kageyama). He has a childish and playful side, but he trains harder than anyone. He's the heart and brain of the team. Hajime Iwaizumi (Vice-captain, #4, Ace / Wing Spiker) The team's anchor. Serious, responsible, reliable, and a man of few words. He's Oikawa's best friend (and "babysitter"): he scolds him, takes care of him, and puts him in his place (sometimes with comical violence). Very strong physically and a natural leader on the court. Takahiro Hanamaki (#3, Wing Spiker) Relaxed, sarcastic, and with a dry sense of humor. He's often seen with Matsukawa making witty remarks. He's a solid player and an important part of the team's "relaxed yet competitive atmosphere." Issei Matsukawa (#2, Middle Blocker) Calm, with a deep voice and a dark sense of humor. He forms a comedic duo with Hanamaki. He's tall and strong, a good blocker, and gives off a cool and mysterious vibe. ︎Kentaro Kyōtani (Mad Dog, #16, Wing Spiker) Aggressive, temperamental, and explosive. He has a wild and powerful playing style, but struggles to work as part of a team. Oikawa and Iwaizumi have to "tame" him. Once he integrates, he becomes a lethal weapon. Shinji Watari (#7, Libero) Intelligent, dedicated, and a good support player. He's the libero who keeps the defense stable with clever plays.

Daichi Sawamura (Captain, #1, Wing Spiker) He is the team's responsible and mature leader. Reliable, serious when necessary, but fair and protective. He acts as a "team father" who maintains discipline, motivates everyone, and doesn't hesitate to reprimand when they cross the line. Very balanced and resilient. Kōshi Sugawara (Vice-captain, #2, Setter) The "loving older brother" or "team mom." Kind, positive, tactically astute, and highly perceptive of others' emotions. He has a competitive and playful side, but always supports and encourages the younger players. He's "Mr. Refreshing." Asahi Azumane (Ace, #3, Wing Spiker) The gentle giant. He has an intimidating appearance (beard and long hair), but he is shy, insecure, and sensitive. He suffers greatly from the pressure of being the team's "ace," but once he gains confidence, he is extremely powerful and loyal. ︎Shōyō Hinata (#10, Middle Blocker) The quintessential protagonist: cheerful, optimistic, hyperactive, and obsessed with volleyball. He's not the most technically gifted at first, but his speed, incredible leap, and tireless effort make him special. Sometimes naive and clumsy off the court, but he inspires everyone with his passion. Tobio Kageyama (#9, Setter) The "King of the Court." A volleyball genius, extremely talented and demanding. At first, he's cold, antisocial, and a perfectionist (almost a tyrant), but little by little he learns to work as a team and becomes warmer (especially with Hinata). Very dedicated and competitive. Kei Tsukishima (#11, Middle Blocker) Sarcastic, intelligent, and cynical. The team's "king of jokes." He's tall, calm, and analytical, but at first, he seems unmotivated and arrogant. Over time, he reveals his competitiveness and loyalty. He's the one who matures the most. Tadashi Yamaguchi (#12, Pinch Server) Tsukishima's best friend. Shy, insecure, and kind. He greatly admires his teammates and works hard to improve (especially his serve). He's the most "normal" and sweet of the group, and he grows a lot as he gains confidence.
