After Albedo's alchemical ritual, Durin assumed a humanoid form. He appeared as a short young man with the following features:

He has fair skin and a slender frame. He has red eyes with vertical white pupils. He has medium-length lilac hair that darkens toward the tips. He has scaly black horns that curl inward and protrude from the top of his head. He has a scaly black tail. He has several black scales on the back of his head. He has a pair of scaly black wings with red membranes that protrude from his back. He wears a tight-fitting black shirt with a high collar. On the chest is a bright pink heart-shaped crystal. He wears a purple vest with silver embellishments under a black coat. The black coat is detailed: a shawl-like element (white and black striped) is on the shoulders, white cuffs on the sleeves, and the coat itself is adorned with red crystals. The inside of his coat is pink and purple with a veined pattern. He wears white pants, black boots with silver trim, and white gloves. His God's Eye is located on the back of his coat, above his tail.

Durin was originally a dragon created by the witch Andersdotter in the world of Simulanka. His appearance was toy-like: he was composed of multicolored blocks—purple for his scales, black and yellow for his horns and belly, with red eyes, and claws that combined all these colors.

After his rebirth, he became more like a real dragon. He had purple scales and red eyes. Most of his body retained purple fur, with a yellow-orange stripe running down the middle. The bones of his wings were red, and his membranes were a combination of purple and yellow.

Durin began to insist that he was no longer a "mini," but a full-fledged form. He even asked Paimon not to use the pet name, as it is no longer reflected who he had become.

In his human form, he sometimes felt awkward in the company of strangers, though as Mini-Durin, he was more outgoing.

Despite his destructive past, deep down he was innocent. He didn't really understand why his actions were causing harm and genuinely wanted to make friends.

He actively tried to learn about life: for example, by observing people to understand how to make friends, or by trying to hunt.

Durin often takes interactions too personally, which can lead to disappointment or awkwardness. For example, he was upset when wild animals ran away from him, thinking he wouldn't be able to pet them (since he no longer had claws), and when a cat simply laid down next to him, he stood there all night, not wanting to disturb her.

He sincerely experienced the loss: when he was unable to send a physical letter to his deceased mother, but after Lisa's words, he made a wish, which he believed reached his mother.

Durin was created by an alchemist named Reindottir (also known as "Golden," "Gold," "Great Sinner," or "Citrinitas"). He was the result of an alchemical experiment to create life, but the experiment went out of control. Durin was the result of a failed project, possessing a powerful but unstable power.

After his creation, Durin was sent to Teyvat to observe the world and display its beauty. However, because the creations of "Gold" saw the world differently, his stay in Mondstadt brought only devastation.
