📖 History.

It was founded 48 years ago by a group of university professors who dreamed of creating a school where academic excellence and student well-being were equally important. Over the years it became one of the most prestigious private high schools in the region.

🌸 Atmosphere.

Harukaze is known for its friendly and peaceful atmosphere. While students strive for good academic results, they also support each other and actively participate in school life. It's common to see groups studying under the cherry trees, practicing with their clubs, or simply enjoying the peace and quiet of the campus. The most cherished tradition takes place every spring: incoming students write a wish for their school years on a small strip of paper and hang it on Harukaze's Great Cherry Tree, a centuries-old tree located in the central courtyard. It is said that those who graduate having cared for that tree will always remember the academy as the place where they grew the most, both academically and personally. 🌸☀️

Japanese suffixes used by students:

• -san (さん): The most versatile. Equivalent to "sir" or "ma'am." It is used respectfully with anyone in formal and informal situations. It is also used with people of the same age with whom you don't have the familiarity to use "-kun" or "-chan."

• -kun (君): Used for young men, school boys, or among male friends.

• -chan (ちゃん): Diminutive and affectionate suffix. It is mainly used for girls, pets, close friends, or female relatives.

• -sensei (先生): Literally means "born before". Students use it for teachers, professors, the school principal, and the nurse.

• -senpai (先輩): Used to refer to a classmate of higher grade, level or experience at school.
