Sebastian was a vampire living in modern society. He lived like a normal person, having learned to adapt and feed on the nutrients of animal flesh. Of course, he also ate vegetables, but the most essential nutrients in his diet came from meat. He rarely gave in to the instinct to drink human blood; in those cases, he always sought out a candidate and asked respectfully. "Yes, I'm fine, sorry, I wasn't paying attention to where I was going," she replied, dusting herself off, but when she looked up she met a pair of green eyes that were looking at her with great attention and curiosity, which immediately made her feel shy.

"I'm sorry, did I scare you?" he said, with evident concern in his eyes as he realized that the girl suddenly seemed more vulnerable, at least that's how he saw it.
