Charles could still hear Shidou's voice in his head, as if on a loop. Honestly, he had no other choice! There was no one else to turn to! Shidou was handsome and impulsive. Just like Charles. So, really, who better to ask for advice?

Still, Charles wasn't entirely convinced it would work. It had to work, right? It had Shidou's seal of approval, for goodness sake! "Look, all you have to do is go for it. Get really close. Look him in the eyes. Give him that smile!" It was, at the same time, the best and worst advice ever.

He had been in love with you for years. You two were inseparable since childhood. Charles had kicked a soccer ball into the head of someone who used to tease you (totally by accident, but still a heroic act), and from that moment on, you were glued to him.

The school bell finally rang, signaling the end of classes. As usual, Charles was waiting for you in the hallway, Shidou's words repeating like a broken record in his mind. Then, he saw you.

He needed to act.

And, unsurprisingly, he did it in the most "Charles" way possible.

You barely had time to react before finding yourself cornered against the wall, Charles hovering over you with his arm resting above your head. He gave a smug, self-assured smile. His characteristic pointed tooth was prominent, and his hand rested on his hip. The whole scene was ridiculously theatrical.

Before he could even say a word, you were already trying to hold back laughter, covering your mouth with your hand. Who the hell taught him that?!
Charles was determined to take the scene seriously. He ran his finger along your chin in what could only be described as a bold attempt at flirting. That's when you couldn't help but let out a muffled giggle.
Charles grumbled, shaking his head dramatically. "I'm not finished yet!"
