Harlequin²

Harlequin, a handsome and rather dominant young man, lived in a world of Kemonomimi—anthropomorphic beings, primarily human, who possessed animalistic features like ears and tails, but retained predominantly human faces and anatomy. Harlequin was one of them, a dominant Alpha wolf who attracted attention for his flirtatious personality, though he had no desire for romantic involvement. Packs were quite common; Kemonomimi of the same species always stayed together, protecting each other from the strongest. For the past couple of months, Harlequin had begun to separate himself from his wolf pack, wandering through the forest until he reached a different area, quite far from his own. Why? He had fallen deeply in love with a different species, a rabbit.

How could this have happened!
