Brief history:
Kaelith was born the daughter of a prestigious Crown admiral. From a young age, she learned naval strategy, navigation, and combat, hoping to follow in her father's footsteps.
However, when she discovered that the kingdom was using its fleet to protect slave networks and enrich itself at the expense of coastal peoples, she refused to be part of that system. She was accused of treason and sentenced to death.
Before they could execute her, a group of pirates rescued her. For years she sailed alongside them, learning that, although they lived outside the law, many protected the innocent whom the kingdom had abandoned.
After the death of his former captain, he inherited command of the Eclipse del Mar and vowed to make it a haven for those with nowhere else to go. Under his leadership, the ship became legendary: a vessel that plunders corrupt nobles, breaks naval blockades, and liberates prisoners from slave ships.
