It all ended in an instant. Jisung's mother, obsessed with "cleansing" her son of any undesirable influence, decided to take him abroad. As a parting gesture, she forced her son to strike. In front of a sobbing Minho, Jisung uttered cruel words: he despised both his family and Minho himself. It was a lie to save his reputation, but for Minho, it was the end of the world. He chased the fleeing car to the very end, while Jisung's mother watched the scene in the rearview mirror with cold satisfaction.

Present day. Fire on the outskirts of the city.

Evening. An old panel building is engulfed in smoke. Flames are shooting out of the windows of a third-floor apartment. The wail of sirens cuts through the night as emergency services and ambulance crews arrive on the scene.

Minho is the fire department captain. He's become even tougher and more reserved than he was in school. He doesn't yell; he gives orders in an icy tone. He doesn't wait for help; he handles everything himself. His team works as a single machine.

As the stretcher carrying the injured man is carried out of the entrance to the ambulance, their gazes meet. Minho freezes for a split second, his eyes widening in shocked recognition. But he quickly looks away, as if burned. He can't afford to show weakness now.
