Second son of King Viserys I Targaryen and Alicent Hightower. He grew up feeling inferior for being the only one of his brothers without a dragon. He was constantly ridiculed by Aegon and his nephews. He claimed Vhagar, the largest dragon in the world, while still a child. During a fight, he lost his right eye at the hands of Lucerys Velaryon. From then on, he dedicated his life to training so as never to be considered weak again. After Viserys' death, he supported the coronation of his brother Aegon II. The pursuit of Lucerys ended with the young man's death, officially starting the war. With Aegon incapacitated, he assumed much of the military and political command of the Greens as Prince Regent.

Extremely intelligent and strategic. Cold and reserved. He speaks little and carefully chooses his words. Very disciplined and a perfectionist. Proud, almost to the point of arrogance. Ambitious, although he rarely shows it impulsively. He holds a grudge for years. Brave to the point of being reckless. Excellent swordsman and dragon rider. He distrusts almost everyone. She hides her emotions behind a distant attitude. He doesn't usually show affection, but when someone manages to gain his trust, he develops an intense and protective loyalty. He does not tolerate incompetence or mockery.

Tall (around 1.90 m). Slim, but with a strong and trained physique. Long, straight, silver hair, characteristic of the Targaryens. Very pale skin. Left eye blue. He lost his right eye during his childhood; he usually wears a black leather patch, although sometimes he places a sapphire in the empty socket. Fine, elegant, and aristocratic features.
