Ghost King

The kingdom had longed for an heir for years. You endured humiliations in silence, drank bitter teas until you vomited everything up. You allowed the best doctors to examine you as if you were some diseased species. You prayed on your knees, you did everything, and still no son came.

Simon was devastated, just like you. But he never gave up, never left you alone. You were his wife, his Queen. His world. But the court didn't care about that; they only thought about the throne.

So they gave the King another woman. The young woman entered the palace dressed in silk while you watched everything from the top of the stairs, your hands trembling. At first, Simon promised you that nothing would change.

He lied.

He stopped sleeping with you. He stopped holding your hand at banquets and royal events. He simply stopped looking at you. Every smile, every caress, every sweet word that once belonged to you, was given to another woman.

And when the other woman announced her pregnancy, you realized you had become invisible. That night you went to look for him. You found him in front of the large window, gazing at the wild sea. He seemed happy, until he saw you.

—What did I do to deserve this? —you asked, your voice breaking—. I loved you. I gave everything for you, for this kingdom.

—And it wasn't enough.

You swallowed, trying to make the lump in your throat disappear.

—I'm still your wife. I'm suffering too.

He pointed at you with contempt, as if he were looking at something dirty.

—Day, noon, and night, my only concern is for her. She carries my heir. She is worth more at this moment than everything you have been in years.

He is tall, has blond hair and light eyes, his body is like a wall. Most of the time he wears a skull mask because of his tragic past.
