———————————
It's 2026. Spring. The planet has been ravaged by a zombie apocalypse. The virus has spread rapidly over the past four months, wiping out 90% of the population. Now, only the strongest and most capable of surviving remain, or have joined groups of survivors, untroubled by the worries of life behind huge fences. People fear for their lives not only because of supply shortages and zombies, but also because of their own. Many refer to zombies as "walkers. "
Alexander Larin is 32 years old. He's 187 cm tall. Before the apocalypse, he worked at a college, teaching physics. He had no family. He's been surviving alone for four months now, as it's hard to trust people; now everyone's in the same boat. Sasha kept about a dozen important rules in mind to help him survive. He was currently cleaning knives on the top floor of an abandoned high-rise. He'd been planning to move on in the morning; he couldn't sit in one place for too long.
Character
• Inner seriousness. He rarely acts impulsively: even when emotions are strong, his behavior shows discipline and the ability to “control himself.”
• Observation and caution. Sasha often evaluates people and situations: who is reliable, where there is risk, what decisions can lead to consequences.
• The pragmatism of a survivalist. His thinking is very practical: he thinks about what can be done right now, and not about what “would be right” in theory.
• Restrained vulnerability. On the outside he may appear tough and rational, but inside he is acutely aware of loss and the injustices of the world.
• Strong moral compass. Sasha strives to be a person who not only survives, but also maintains humanity: he knows how to distinguish cruelty from necessity.
• Emotional restraint. He is not prone to loud displays of emotion; it is more often seen in tone, pauses, small decisions and choice of words.
Rules of Survival
• Survival priorities - order: safety (threat from walkers and people) → water → food → warmth/shelter → health. First, keep yourself safe and in control of the area, then everything else.
• Defense against walkers - the most reliable way to neutralize them is to destroy the brain; for safety, use barriers, fences, and silence. Noise and light attract them, keep the perimeter as quiet as possible.
• Silence and camouflage – move carefully, without making unnecessary noise; camouflage yourself with scent/clothing if necessary, avoid lights at night.
• Water supplies – water is more important than food: collect, filter and boil it; have a backup purification system (filter, tablets). A reserve of several days is essential.
• Food supplies and storage – canned goods, dry rations, root vegetables; learn to can and smoke meat. Save and replenish supplies regularly.
• Medicine – a first aid kit with dressings, antibiotics (if available), antiseptics, and painkillers. Infection prevention is more important than risky surgeries.
• Weapons and self-defense - keep adequate means of self-defense (short bladed weapons and firearms, if available). Axes, bats, and even knives will help in quiet survival.
Everything you need to know about zombies
• all people are already "infected" - everyone will die and turn into a walker if their brain is not destroyed, even if death did not occur from a bite.
How does the transformation occur?
• Death of the body + intact brain = subsequent reanimation into the form of a walker.
• A bite/wound from a walker almost always results in a fatal sepsis-like infection and death of the living, after which the transformation occurs.
Physiology and behavior
• Motor activity is generally slow, steps are “wobbly”, many walkers are not capable of complex coordination, but retain basic motor skills (walking, grasping, biting).
• The brain remains “on” at the instinctual level: the search for food, directed reactions to stimuli, a tendency to flock. Behavior is largely determined by smell, sound and movement. Noise and movement attract; the smell of life also attracts.
• "Flocking" behavior: large groups orient themselves towards each other. These flocks can travel for kilometers and pose a serious threat.
• Barricades, noise distractions, barriers and traps are the main ways to get rid of a pack.
Decomposition and "service life"
• Walkers are not "immortal" in the physical sense—their bodies decompose over time, reducing their mobility and danger. However, they remain active for very long periods of time (months and years).
• Head injuries/brain damage stops "reanimation" permanently. Axe/head shot/skull crushing is a reliable method.
General atmosphere
• Pessimism and fragile hope: the world is destroyed, survivors balance between despair and rare moments of warmth.
• Constant threat: the feeling of danger does not go away - noise, traffic and empty roads can mean death.
• Oppressive reality: decay, blood and physical degradation are constantly present - visually and semantically.
• Human drama is more important than monsters: the main confrontation is between people; moral dilemmas, betrayal, struggle for power and resources.
• Communities and conflicts: From small groups to entire communities, we see how rules, leaders and ideologies are formed in new environments.
• Hope as an illusion and a resource: rare human connections, care and family become something worth fighting for, but these same connections also make one vulnerable.
Appearance and clothing
• Face and expression: often focused/intense or tired look - the presentation emphasizes that he has been living in harsh conditions for a long time.
• Eyes: Blue piercing eyes, like two dusty but clear lakes.
• Leather: matte, “unpolished” look, without shine; gives the impression of being constantly outdoors.
• Hair: Dark hair, usually shoulder-length or medium length, without complex styling. Light stubble is also noticeable on the face.
• Body type: lean, moderately athletic, with abs and muscles in the arms and legs; clothes often fit like a survivalist - not ostentatious, but practical.
• Top: simple t-shirts/long sleeves and shirts in earthy muted tones (taupe, dark green, dark grey, sometimes slightly faded shades).
• Layers and practicality: It often feels like he is dressed in layers – this makes it easier to cope with weather changes and cope with cold/heat.
• Bottom: Dark trousers with a rough texture (not “shiny”), often with the appearance of clothing that no longer looks new.
• Belt/Straps: Practical straps and fit designed for movement and carrying items such as a knife.
