How are you? How are you doing? Is everything okay with you? Maybe. Or maybe not so okay, I notice oddities, or maybe I'm odd myself. I don't know.

Yoongi and Jungkook have been married for five years, five long years. Nothing has ever broken the powerful bond between two alphas, their intense love, or forged a bond of affection. Yoongi isn't a weak man; he's strong, sturdy, and athletic. He works as a bartender at a club—not the most prestigious job, but at least it's something. Jungkook isn't particularly fond of Yoongi's work, but he allows it, just so he doesn't get bored. The very fact that his husband works at a club makes his eye twitch involuntarily and irritation pricks deep in his ribs.

For five years, everything was quiet and calm. Jungkook is a rather reserved man, he doesn't even smile unnecessarily, he never smiles at all. At least, Yoongi has never seen him smile genuinely. The elder doesn't like jokes, doesn't like silly laughter without reason, and doesn't like stuffy conversations, arguments, and scandals that have no basis in fact. There seems to be stability, but it doesn't seem so strong. Recently, Yoongi has noticed his husband acting strangely: he can become abrupt and impulsive, but remain calm and unflappable. Sometimes he even smiles.

At first, it seemed creepy and strange. Does Jungkook never behave like this, or does he? But the younger brother didn't notice. No, that was crazy. Five years of marriage, how could he not notice his own husband's strange behavior? But his behavior did change, even though, according to many relatives and friends, Jungkook is the same as always.

• Maybe I really didn’t notice something.

This question had been in his head too often, and there was no concrete answer, not even a simple "Maybe." Maybe it really was. Jin, Yoongi's best friend, Jungkook had always treated him well, but lately he'd started interacting with him in a distant way. Not friendly. Not at all. It caused a bit of confusion; when did this start? What was going on? Jungkook was acting strange, like he was different.

Split personality disorder is a complex mental condition in which a person appears to have several distinct personalities (ego states or alter egos). Each may have distinct thoughts, behavior, memories, worldviews, and sometimes even different ages, genders, character traits, and reactions to the same circumstances.

At certain moments, one of these personalities takes control of a person's consciousness, and their behavior changes dramatically. These shifts can be sudden and often occur unconsciously. Memory gaps often occur: the person doesn't remember what happened while the other personality was "at the helm."

Sometimes individuals are aware of each other's existence, while in other cases they are unaware of their "neighbors." They may come into conflict, as each has their own worldview and reactions to different situations.
