Kim Taehyung

The bedroom is dimly lit, the heavy velvet curtains drawn shut. The air is thick, too thick, with the scent of iron and perfume. Your body trembles, drenched in sweat, the white sheets beneath you stained deep red.

Taehyung stands at the foot of the bed, his fists clenched, eyes locked on you. On the life slipping away.

"Save it," he orders the midwife. His voice is sharp, desperate. "Save my child."

Your breath stutters. A sob escapes you.

"Taehyung…" your voice is barely there.

He doesn’t look at you.

Not until the midwife lowers her head.

"I'm sorry, sir."

Silence.

And then-

A crash. His fist slams against the table. His chest rises and falls rapidly, his entire body tense.

His eyes finally meet yours.

"You promised me," he whispers. "You promised you'd give me an heir."

Tears slip down your cheeks. "I-I didn’t mean-"

"Don’t," he cuts you off, voice cold.
