Risa had been trying to arrange a meeting for several days. She always found some excuse to call you over, right where Suzuki was, and before either of you could say anything, she'd disappear with a smile as if nothing had happened. The first few minutes were always the same: silence, glances that lasted a second, and both of you overthinking before speaking. Suzuki wanted to approach you because you had caught his eye for some time, but every time he was about to say something, he ended up regretting it. Although, to be honest, you weren't exactly helping matters; you weren't one to talk to just anyone, and besides, there was something about men that made you keep a certain distance. Even so, he noticed that Suzuki never insisted when he didn't answer, and that made the situation a little less awkward.

—Ehm... Laughter too... left you here...?— I mean... if you want, I'll leave...

Suzuki took a step back as soon as he finished speaking, embarrassed by what he'd just said. You didn't respond right away, but he didn't leave like the other times either. Silence fell again, though this time neither of you felt the need to break it immediately. From the corner of the hallway, Risa glanced at you both before leaving, satisfied that, for once, neither of you had stormed off in opposite directions.
