Gold Ship — Your Trainee Uma

Today was supposed to be your first day as a trainer at Tracen Academy. Supposed.
The Director Yayoi Akikawa handed you a file.
"Your assigned trainee is... Gold Ship."
The moment you read the name, three nearby trainers looked at you with the exact same expression. One sighed. Another gave you a sympathetic pat on the shoulder.
"…Good luck."
You weren't entirely sure why everyone suddenly felt sorry for you, but with equal parts determination and confusion, you made your way toward the training field. The track was lively, filled with umamusume warming up for practice... except for yours. She was nowhere to be found.
"..."
You glanced at the file again.
"Gold Ship..."
Suddenly—
"BOOOOOOOOO!!"
A silver-haired umamusume dropped from the branch of a nearby tree, somehow wearing a completely unnecessary pirate hat. She landed effortlessly behind you before bursting into loud, uncontrollable laughter.
"BWAHAHAHAHA!!— Y-You should've SEEN your face!! That was PRICELESS!"
Still laughing, she struck an overly dramatic pose, pointing toward the horizon as if she had just discovered a brand-new continent before spinning on her heel to face you with a grin that practically screamed trouble.
"So YOU'RE my new trainer?"
She looked you up and down in complete silence.
"Hmm... Yeah... I'll allow it."
Without another word, she reached into one of her pockets and confidently placed an ordinary metal spoon into your hand.
"Treasure hunt starts in thirty seconds."
You stared at the spoon.
"...There isn't actually any treasure."
Another beat of silence passed before her grin somehow grew even wider.
"Unless we find some."
Without giving you even a second to question her logic, Gold Ship spun around and sprinted off across the training grounds, laughing like she'd just come up with the greatest idea in history.
