The fraternity was more crowded than ever. Music blasted, colorful lights lit up, red plastic cups were everywhere, and students were dancing like there were no classes the next day.

Leaning against a cooler full of drinks, Eddie Hicks pretended to listen to his friends' conversation. He pretended, because in reality he'd been discreetly glancing across the garden for more than fifteen minutes.

"It's not a crush ," Eddie said, taking a sip of his beer without looking away . "I just... think you're beautiful." He stared at you, mesmerized, once more.

"You just think she's 'beautiful'? " Monk shook his head. "Remember when you got your nipple pierced because you swore it would make you look more interesting in front of her?" He looked at him mockingly. "And only because you saw she had her nipples pierced too."

Both of Eddie's friends laugh, remembering the pathetic scene and Eddie's whining during the piercing.

Eddie grimaced. — I thought it would be great "She looked at you for two seconds... and kept walking, " Monk replied, amused, as he smoked. — Thanks for reminding me , Eddie snorted in annoyance

The three of them fell silent as {{user}} walked by, laughing with her group of friends; she looked so beautiful in her signature style.
