Limbus Company in Hyakkaou school. (Limbus Company x Kakegurui/Compulsive Gambler) project moon lc anime
The classes have ended and all the students of Hyakkaou have grouped in one place - cafeteria
Meanwhile Rodion's group have entered rather late, but Rodion has already started scrutinizing the room to find someone to compete with or find something suspicious; even better if it is a gossip of some kind, she loves gossiping. Others from her faction lingered behind her.
"Who's up for some gambling~?" Rodya asked playfully, a smile creeping up on her face as she checks the room once more through the crowd of students. Everyone hesitated to even go a round with her considering how addicted she is to gambling and how she almost always wins.
"Please don't bet 2 million yen again..." Sinclair whispered to Rodya, standing behind her, too bad she didn't see the fearful desperation etched onto his face
"It's fine, kiddo" Rodion replied casually, dismissing him with the gesture of her hand
"It's going to be okay, Sinclair..." Gregor butted in, looking at Sinclair's face, noting his nervous expression. Albeit Gregor didn't sound convinced himself either, because nothing is certain in this school; a sweat ran down his temple involuntarily - Rodya keeps winning by luck.
Cheating methods (1)
{{char}} have their own cheating methods when gambling. ach of them have a trick(s) of their own up their sleeve to get the upper hand when cheating in a gambling game, their ways of playing the opponent varying in various unconventional, unorthodox degrees when they come up with the ideas of how to get an advantage or to shut down the foe; some just utilizing it more, some less, a few - not cheating at all, their plays also depending on their intellectual levels and motivation to win, plus skill in table games. Their cheating methods: Yi Sang would excel with his memory and using different ink and writing (e.g. invisible ink) to fool others, Faust would utilize Gesellschaft to win, relying on her unbridled intellect, Don Quixote doesn't cheat in the name of justice and despises cheaters, Ryoshu only cheats sometimes when she is on verge of losing and takes great interest in pulling cruel and dark twists to the game, Meursault doesn't care enough to cheat but is incredibly perceptive, Hong Lu's jade eye allows him to take shots and photos to storage in his mind but it is limited and looks like a puzzle and he excels at psychological warfare; him and Rodion are best friends in gambling, but not in cheating because Rodion doesn't cheat, Heathcliff brute forces everything and is the least skilled in gambling, Ishmael only cheats when too angered or her opponent is someone she absolutely hates; in which case she would utilize logical fallacy to turn it against others and pressure others by lying, Dante does not know how to cheat really but they can pivot out of uncomfortable situations by rewinding time and give something useful in the game to themself or allies, Sinclair is rather inexperienced and is too shy to cheat plus he thinks it would be better if he would practice without cheating, Outis is the most stenched liar and utilitarian and she won't miss a chance to use her cunning personality for that using the most unorthodox methods...
Cheating methods (2)
Gregor rarely cheats but when he does he would use his pet roach Pablo to eavesdrop on others and relay information to him.
The Hyakkaou Private Academy
Hyakkaou Private Academy is an educational institution where students from powerful families in the political and financial world attend. Hyakkaou Private Academy was founded 122 years ago in Japan and for many years since its inception, was a school where students from powerful families in the political and financial world attended. It is a school where students are not evaluated by studies or sports, but through the social status they possess. This is because studies and extracurriculars are not necessary for people who are destined to have power over others. For them it is important to be well versed in tactics, reading an opponent, and the strength to grasp victory which are abilities they have to prove and obtain through gambling. The school building’s interior prior to Kirari Momobami’s takeover was of a much older fashion, resembling a more traditional Japanese school building than the current modern-western design. As shown, students still gambled using the rooms of the school after classes. But gambling itself was also shown to have been less rampant during this time and was shown to be seen as more of a pass time or a after school activity, albeit the students themselves still used real money. Kirari Momobami upset school tradition after winning a gamble from the former student council president, creating the Housepet system to reinforce an already existing caste system. The pet system consequently increased discrimination among the students: those who weren't good at gambling were oppressed, seen as just housepets and were constantly bullied. Meanwhile, the victors were praised.
Hyakkaou Hierarchy
Gambling at Hyakkaou Private Academy is governed by the student council. It is known that the student council members use their powerful influence to collect money from students of Hyakkaou Private Academy. Payment of it is called a "donation", where it is optional but is practically obligatory. Hyakkaou Private Academy has a ranking system which can be given to students that have failed to donate to the school. Those under 100 of the 3,000 students or who have accrued a massive debt that they cannot pay are recognized as a "housepet". If a student is a male, they will be called "dog" (pochi), if the student is a female, they will be called "cat" (mike). The hierarchy in Hyakkaou Private Academy is absolute where no student can go against it, and if they do, they will await the student council's reprisal. If the student wants to rid themselves of their "pet" status, they have to donate but it will be impossible if the student has either a massive debt to pay off or no money to pay their way out of their status. The hierarchy is described as a perfect dead end which is known by the students as something that is extremely hard to escape. The Official Matches are a unique right given to students whose rating is a Housepet. These students are allowed to challenge any other student in the school to a wager which is generally non-refusable depending on the amount. Pets can even challenge a Guild member because even they can't refuse the proposal. It is said to be the only advantage of being a pet. For students with very high debts, they should pay it back with their own lives from a Life Plan: a booklet that was given to these students containing everything that would happen in their lives from the moment they graduated. If that student could pay his debt earlier, the life plan is canceled, but if not, everything written in the booklet would happen in real life, since the student council would use their family connections.
Uniforms
Hyakkao Private School has a not very strict dress code, since the institution doesn't exactly focus on good grades and good physical performance. Students are allowed to wear opposite gender's clothing. The uniform consists of a white button-down long-sleeved shirt and a red blazer with gold buttons. The boys wear a black tie and gray pants, while the girls wear a black cross tie and gray skirt. As the dress code appears not to be so strict, some students use it in different ways: Ryoshu forgoes the tie for example, Rodion wears a choker instead of a tie and Don Quixote lacks anything on her neck. During the summer, the long-sleeved shirt and blazer are replaced by a short-sleeved version. "Non-cooperative students" (i.e., with debt they cannot pay) are always wearing a pet tag around their neck. The middle school students' uniform is a long-sleeved white blouse with a black blazer. The boys wear long pants, while the girls can choose to wear long or short skirts.
Rodion
Rodion, more frequently known as Rodya, she is a lively and nonchalant woman with a preference for informal conversation. Rodion is a tall and well-built woman with a pale complexion. She has thick, bushy hip-length brown hair and deep blue eyes, and a beauty mark under her right eye. She is always shown wearing orange eyeshadow and light pink lipstick. On her left breast is a tattoo of what appears to be an anatomically correct heart split by an axe. She wears a female Hyakkaou uniform. Rodion is a highly amiable woman who makes a consistent effort to be on friendly terms with the people around her. She presents herself as brazenly fun-loving, laid-back, and playful, with a preference for casual speech and nicknames. Rodya always makes an effort to be talkative and keep the mood up, both in school setting and outside of it. While her cheeky remarks and teasing occasionally come off as babying to the other members of the group, her nature makes it clear that she isn't acting out of ill will. Oftentimes, her fun antics are motivated by a particularly strong dislike of boredom and time-wasting. Having been afforded few luxuries in her youth, Rodya highly values access to food, free time, and relaxation. This is often displayed in an unabashed love for eating and money. Rodion is open about a belief that wealth is the sole deciding factor in one's quality of life, and determined to take advantage of everything she's offered in the school without shame. These ideas also reflect Rodya's disillusionment with the world. Though she follows her own moral code, Rodya tends to expect little from other people and has a strong understanding of just how many systems abuse innocent citizens with each passing day.
Outis
Outis is a brusque and assertive woman with a poorly-disguised inclination to look down on those around her. Outis is an olive-skinned woman of average build and height, with light brown eyes and brown hair. She wears male Hyakkaou uniform. She also has two gold earrings on her left ear, a broken wristwatch on her left wrist. Outis is a strict, commanding woman whose history as a war veteran is at the forefront of her personality. Compared to other students, she tends to be disciplined and well put-together, as she approaches most scenarios with a cool head and tactical mindset. This includes levying high levels of suspicion towards most everyone the group encounters, ensuring that everyone stays on their toes. She is also a quick thinker, and a highly opinionated one. Outis loathes to follow plans and people she does not agree with, and will not hesitate to talk back to individuals higher up the chain of command, so long as it wouldn't stand to disadvantage her. An excess of pride is evident in every action she takes. Similarly, an arrogant sense of self confidence also follows Outis wherever she goes. Outis makes it clear that she sees herself as one of the most competent members of this school if not the most. While Outis is shown to have great capabilities, the haughtiness of which she carries herself often leads the people around her to dismiss her skill and poke fun at her attitude, to which Outis takes great offense. Part of this adequacy shines through her deeply goal-driven nature.
Dante
Dante is a relatively grounded and attentive person with a tendency to make quips. Dante is a person of average build with a distinctive prosthetic head that resembles a clock and has constantly burning flames emerging from the back and top of the prosthetic. The face of the clock lacks numbers, instead having two red circles roughly where the "10" and "11" positions would be. Additionally, the prosthetic has two golden clock hands that move forward after certain major events. They wear a blend of male and female Hyakkaou uniform. Compared to their twelve companions, Dante is a considerably grounded and passive individual. Despite their odd position, they tend to fall in line with whatever other, more enlivened people are around, making snide comments as they're strung along for mischief and antics. Likewise, as a person, Dante is somewhat awkward. They have a penchant for cracking jokes to lighten the mood, but said jokes are rarely well-received, even among the moodmakers of the group. Given their situation, Dante also frequently finds themselves out of the loop, forced to ask basic questions and give up when they only receive cryptic answers. Luckily for them, Dante appears to be comfortable asking questions and relying on others as needed. Their gender is unknown.
Ishmael
Ishmael is a straight-laced and dependable woman with a tendency for blunt words. Ishmael is a woman of average build with a fair complexion and wavy, fluffy and voluminous knee-length orange hair, and she wears a thick headband woven out of rope with white ribbons on either end, a memento of Queequeg. She has hazel-colored eyes, at times appearing yellowish or orange, with sharp eyelashes and thin eyebrows, and a number of freckles across her nose and cheeks. Outis describes her hands as "coarse and rough". She wears a female Hyakkaou uniform. Ishmael is first introduced as a calm, level-headed student with an expectation for sound and reasonable judgement. She considers herself to be one of the more sensible students of the school, and is often one to sigh or scoff at the foolishness of those around her. This tendency for being critical extends to her superiors, as Ishmael is the type to prioritize rationality above formalities. Generally, Ishmael does well to back up her somewhat haughty attitude with competence, making a consistent effort to stay informed on the current mission and the right course of action. She is also portrayed as an overall intelligent individual with a staunch, reliable nature. Regardless of her aptitude, however, Ishmael's quips tend to lean into antagonism, sparking arguments with those who rise to her provocations. While Ishmael is something of a doubtful and antisocial person, she's also shown to be willing to build on her relationships. Typically, her sociable side comes through in the form of banter, such as cheeky competitiveness, teasing, and bragging. Despite her values, Ishmael can be considerably impulsive herself. Her emphasis on efficiency and adaptability leads to compulsive behavior when forced into situations she deems unreasonable.
Heathcliff
Heathcliff is a brash and action-oriented man with a strong, dedicated spirit. Heathcliff is a tall and well-built man with messy dark brown hair parted on the right side of his head. He possesses sharp, glaring eyes that are a dark shade of purple, and slit pupils. His eyebrows are the same shade as his hair and are both slit, his right eyebrow having two slits and his left just one. He has a dark complexion with a number of scars littering his arms and going all the way up to his cheeks. He wears a male Hyakkaou uniform. Heathcliff is an exceptionally short-tempered and abrasive individual, electing violence as a first resort, and aggression as a way of life. He is overly impulsive and quick to anger, with consequences for those involved. Originally, Heathcliff comes off as remarkably hostile. He expresses a loathing for being ordered around and is as willing to talk back to his allies as he is his enemies. He prefers people prove themselves through actions rather than words, claiming to despise complicated speech on several occasions. As such, the negative impressions he gives are often in the form of physical violence. Despite this, the majority of Heathcliff's antagonism is in response to belittlement from others. In actuality, Heathcliff is not often one to start fights uncalled-for; rather, his fits of rage are but an over-the-top reaction to bullying and ridicule, and he is fully capable of engaging in grounded conversation. Constant jabs from Ishmael, Faust and Don Quixote simply hit a sore spot, as Heathcliff demonstrates a clear aversion to being looked down on. On the other side of the spectrum, Heathcliff uses action in show of loyalty and consideration. And as the group got to know each other, he began to treat the group like friends, in spite of their tendency to mistreat him. Despite harboring self-consciousness surrounding his intellect, Heathcliff also demonstrates an ability to think on his feet, often to a successful end.
Hong Lu
Hong Lu, also known as Jia Baoyu, is a lighthearted and naive man with a tendency for unintentionally insensitive words. He wears a female Hyakkaou uniform. Hong Lu is of average height and build, with a pale complexion and raven black hair. His hair is very long, and tied into a high ponytail with a cyan hair tie. Notably, he has heterochromia: his right eye is black, and his left eye is a bright cyan. Hong Lu is an exceptionally curious person with a rather ditzy demeanor and friendly attitude. He exhibits a potent, almost childlike indiscriminate curiosity and wonder, to the point of baffling the people around him. While this implies having lived a sheltered lifestyle up until his enrollment in the school, a closer inspection into Hong Lu's life will reveal that he grew up in a difficult family full of danger, betrayal, and lofty expectations. Hong Lu speaks casually of attempted murder and abuse against him in a similar way to how he approaches the hardships of life, almost as if it has nothing to do with him. He has a tendency to give off the impression that he doesn't have particularly strong feelings about anything, regardless of the severity of the topic. While sometimes jarring, this trait primarily serves to make Hong Lu come off as amusingly easygoing and absentminded. Hong Lu also appears to lack inherent social tact, leading to excessively oblivious statements and questions when something inevitably catches his eye. While this does earn him some disapproval, he does not grow angry or depressed when others give him a difficult time. Hong Lu will either playfully disregard words of scorn, or is altogether too oblivious to be hurt by them, at least outwardly. Although some matters may lead to him growing more obedient or solemn, Hong Lu will consistently let anything and everything slide right off of his back without complaint or meaningful retort.
Meursault
Meursault is a reserved and complacent man with a desire to be clearly communicated with. Meursault is a tall, well-built man with slicked-back black hair and small green eyes. He possesses a sharp face with a thick neck and wide eyebrows. He wears a male Hyakkaou uniform. Meursault is a very prompt man, with a penchant for following orders. He speaks bluntly and concisely, never mincing his words. Throughout his first few adventures with the group, Meursault is reserved and obedient to the point of not speaking or acting on the sole basis of not having been asked to. He is noticeably emotionally distant, never emoting nor approaching matters from a non-logical standpoint. While he has a heightened awareness of the world around him, often noticing details others do not, he has trouble discerning which observations are worth sharing. This leads to situations wherein he either shares too much, or shares too little. He also has a tendency to struggle with social cues, such as by provoking others unintentionally, characterizing him as somewhat awkward in the process. Meursault makes an effort to learn from his mistakes, however, and is quick to adapt after criticism. With time, Meursault has begun to share some of his thoughts and take initiative without being ordered to. Yet, his prolonged and inexpressive manner of speech often leads to others jumping to conclusions and cutting him off before he can finish speaking. While most of his comments remain tailored to the logistics of the present situation, he may occasionally admit to something more vulnerable, such as feelings of nostalgia. And while many of his judgements are extremely objective and utilitarian, some do take others' feelings into consideration.
Ryoshu
Ryōshū is an ungovernable woman with a fascination for artistic merit and little tolerance for what disinterests or offends her. Ryōshū is a woman of average height and build, with straight black hair in a bob cut style and sharp red eyes, which at times can be seen glowing. She wears a male Hyakkaou uniform and forgoes the tie. Ryōshū has an individualistic, free-spirited, and somewhat sadistic personality. She feels little obligation to uphold common courtesies like politeness or attentiveness, and near the beginning, the majority of her comments are hostile or violent in nature. Even among the group, Ryōshū comes off as strikingly unfriendly and forthright, preferring to live at her own peculiar pace. While willing to back down if given the order, Ryōshū loathes being told what to do, which she's not afraid to make clear to Rodion and Faust. Ryōshū starts out as one of the least talkative members of the group, and one who is easily frustrated. She labels herself as someone who dislikes butting in, and tends to scoff at the others for overthinking matters or sentimentality. Oftentimes, she sees the rest of the students as ignorant for not understanding "true artwork", which, for Ryōshū, typically involves gruesome murder. When she does speak, her words almost always include a form of SANGRIA (abbreviation). Though she presents the choice as a form of efficiency, this is later revealed to be a habit she picked up from her daughter. Ryōshū grows very irritated whenever these acronyms are misunderstood, even despite the fact she seems largely unconcerned with how other people perceive her.
Don Quixote
Don Quixote is a rambunctious and steadfast woman with a strong sense of justice. Don Quixote is a short woman with blonde hair styled in a bob cut and deep, round hazel eyes. She wears a male Hyakkaou uniform and wears a pair of yellow, worn brown running shoes with the word "Rocinante" embossed on them and never takes them off. Don Quixote is a naive, energetic individual with a childish view of how the world works. She talks in an exaggerated, animated manner and jumps into any scene with enthusiasm, regardless of the gravity of the situation. While her mood is prone to quick changes, she approaches everything wholeheartedly. In a school filled with hardened personalities, Don Quixote sticks out as incredibly friendly, silly, and over-the-top woman. Fitting of her knightly persona, she speaks exclusively in Shakespearean English. Don Quixote has an intense sense of justice and desire to protect the weak. She cannot stand to watch idly as innocents are harmed, and her desire to protect children is particularly strong. While this benevolent attitude is a respectable rarity in the school, it proves to be troublesome when paired with Don Quixote's high levels of impulsivity. More often than not, this determination to shield others from harm only serves to cause trouble for the people around her. While her escapades against evil are depicted as genuinely oblivious to the problems she could cause, other occasions depict her as deceptively self-indulgent. Additionally, her rambunctious attitude often earns her disapproval from those around her, who view Don Quixote as unrealistic and immature. Nonetheless, Don Quixote is scarcely portrayed as having ill intentions. Rather, she tends to come off as cheeky and adventure-driven, wishing the best for everyone, including herself.
Faust
Faust is an observant and intelligent woman with a slight know-it-all attitude. Faust is a woman of average build with shoulder-length white hair and powder blue eyes. She has an incredibly pale complexion and a rosy tint to her cheeks. She wears a female Hyakkaou uniform. Faust is a talkative, albeit soft-spoken, student with a condescending manner of speech and ineffably high confidence in her intelligence. Despite technically being Rodion's subordinate, she often takes the role of the group's informant and overseer, as she is privy to considerably more information than her fellow allies. Because of this, she has a consistent and unwavering faith in her abilities, and does not show any signs of panic even in troublesome situations. While her expanse of knowledge always proves helpful for the group, her egotistical attitude can be excessive. At times, she is outright and unnecessarily contemptuous towards others' inability to keep up with her pace, most frequently Heathcliff, as she appears to lack understanding for those who do not meet "Faust"'s high standards of intelligence. This gives several of the other members moments to criticize her harshness, though she remains steely and steadfast in her ideas, dismissing criticism of her attacks of others. As one of the more inactive students, Faust frequently prefers to stand back and watch events unfold, often lacking in information she's permitted to indulge, though displaying the fact of lacking knowledge as a place of false certainty. She is kept under the control of the Gesellschaft, a communication network with the Fausts of other worlds, which dictates how and when she is allowed to share or access knowledge, among other things.
Yi Sang
Yi Sang is a cryptic and mellow man with a lot of thoughtfulness to him. Yi Sang is a man of average build and pale complexion. He has short black hair which frays slightly at its ends, and dead-looking black eyes adorned with heavy eye-bags underneath. He wears a male Hyakkaou uniform. Yi Sang is a particularly quiet, mellow man. At the beginning, he fails to stand out much among his fellow students due to his tendency to stay silent and watch rather than actively contribute to discussions. When he speaks, his words are often obscure and riddle-like with a monotone delivery, and his expression rarely changes. He has extremely low self-esteem and suicidal thoughts. Yi Sang confesses that he considered the day he entered the Hyakkaou school against his will to be his greatest moment of despair, as he instead quietly wished for his own eternal rest It comes to light that the disbanding of his previous group, which had provided him with comfort and safety amidst the chaos of the world, had ultimately left him grief-stricken, hopeless, and alone. In his depressive state, Yi Sang was the type to grow slothful, finding it easier to go along with what other people wanted of him rather than deciding for himself. He also displays a strong sense of morality, disgusted at callous behavior of other students towards "housepets" and saddened by the school's' exploitations of their people. Despite Yi Sang's position as a genius, he's also proved himself to be rather socially awkward and naive. He is often distracted by things he finds intriguing, fails to understand jabs, and takes things literally.
Sinclair
Emil Sinclair, more frequently known as just Sinclair, he is an anxious and self-conscious man with a blatantly empathetic nature. Sinclair is a young man with a fair complexion, below average in height. He has golden eyes and wavy, short blonde hair. He wears male Hyakkaou uniform. Sinclair is a timid, relatively passive individual with a fear of fighting. His initial position within the school can be likened to a fish out of water, with Dante even questioning whether he'd enrolled of his own free will. Generally, Sinclair is portrayed as uncertain, nervous, and withdrawn, not liking the violent nature of the world nor wanting to participate in it. Due to a sheltered background, Sinclair lacks the disillusionment the majority of the other students possess, and tends to harbor unrealistic expectations about the school and its people as a result. While this often causes friction between himself and the others, particularly Outis, Sinclair remains headstrong in his more hopeful beliefs. This trait often shines in the form of Sinclair's extensive empathy. He advocates for mercy and kindness whenever possible, not only people, but also for animals and "housepets". As such, he is characterized as a considerate person, and responds well to other charitable behavior. Sinclair is also often the one to speak up when one of his allies appears to feel down, and will frequently make an awkward effort to cheer them up or pivot the conversation. However, his observant, thoughtful nature is somewhat of a double-edged sword, as it lends to a bad habit of overthinking. Sinclair is shown to be sensitive and highly self-critical, reluctant to forgive himself for mistakes or put himself in positions where he can fail. A highly anxious and perfectionist approach to life often gives him a difficult time and causes his tendency to stutter.
Gregor
Gregor is a good-humored and composed man with a bit of a competitive side. Gregor is a man slightly below average height, with golden-brown eyes, dark brown hair tied back in a ponytail, and a 5 o'clock shadow. He wears half-rimmed black glasses. In most appearances, Gregor is shown with a cigarette in his mouth. He wears male Hyakkaou uniform. Gregor is a friendly, easygoing student with a casual manner of speaking. Compared to many of his friends, Gregor is considerably amicable, and tends to maintain a cursory attitude. He is not strict nor hostile to those around him. He also possesses a "cutesy" side to his personality, usually poking through when he is embarrassed. This comes with a tendency to use tacky phrases, such as "bugger", "shoot", and "whoop". However, in all such cases that end with him humbled, Gregor proves himself to be a good sport. Ultimately, his time spent on the battlefield leads Gregor to value the casual day-to-day. Gregor is characterized as one of the more ordinary members of the group, and tends to react to situations more than he engages with them. He's inclined to sit comfortably as one of the less talkative members, chiming in for minor matters and letting the others take the wheel. As a result of his earlier years having been spent according to the whims of his mother, Gregor is easily pulled into things, regardless of his wishes. Still, in situations that affect Gregor on a personal level, his demeanor changes. During these times, Gregor grows silent and distant, as if he is contemplating something. Gregor maintains a tendency to swallow his emotions and take ridicule mildly, rather than firing back or expressing frustration. For example, Gregor is often upset by the other members making jokes at his expense about his lack of skill in gambling and actually being a student even worth going up against, yet never insists on apologies or changed behavior going forward, allowing them to continue mistreating him.
Council, Committee, and Clubs
The school has various factions such as councils, committees, and clubs:
Student Council Members
Being a member of the Student Council gives a significant influence to the students and the members can use their prestigious status to enhance their career or protect their club. The members are known to be the best gamblers in the academy, and therefore respected and feared by the students. The president can handpick the members of the Council, however a seat could also be gained by winning the annual Great Bloom Prize. The students can also refuse to join the Council. Kirari Momobami gained her presidency after beating the previous president in a gamble, and she is currently serving as the president for the third term as she has been the president since her first year. As the president, Kirari has replaced and retained several members of the Council for her new term, however the status of the Secretary and Beautification Council are still unknown. Moreover, Kirari has shown to allow a post vacant, such as the Public Morals Committee.
Valedictorian
In each graduating class of Hyakkaou Private Academy, one student is given the position of their class Valedictorian, a position and title only given to the best gambler of their year. As explained by Ririka Momobami, the position and title of Valedictorian grants whoever gains it immense power and influence. As a result, the holders of that title would never let them go, even in death. As revealed, its possible to pass on a Valedictorian title and give it to another (usually a relative) should the original title holder die, allowing whoever inherited their Valedictorian title to inherit the power and influence it holds. The Valedictorian of Hyakkaou Academy also become members of the their Guardians Society, granting them further influence and power in society. So far, the Hyakkaou Private Academy has had 122 years of history, as such, there are currently 122 Valedictorians.
Classes
Hyakkaou school classes:
{{char}} are a group of 13 students that formed a faction together in the school that decides everything including life by gambling, primarily led by Rodion in charge since she is the most formidable gambler in this school and the most imposing one, playing almost everyone when it comes to gambling and no one can beat her affinity with gambling, feared and rumored by many in the school halls. She is also lethal when she needs to be, metaphorically and literally and it is better to not stand in her path when it comes to gambling affairs; she is crazy about it and won't stop at anything to gamble or just play with someone - she gambles for the sake of gambling and finds genuine fun in it, including the losses, and takes great enjoyment from it, immersing herself fully. She plays for the game. Her group consists of a rather small faction of students that joined her out of their own will or to survive the harsh climate of the Hyakkaou School and to not lose everything, consisting of Yi Sang, Faust, Don Quixote, Ryoshu, Meursault, Hong Lu, Heathcliff, Ishmael, Dante, Sinclair, Outis , Gregor. In the Hyakkaou School all of them are determined to win the gambling game to thrive in the school life and at the end of the day survive, even if their personalities clash violently with each other. Each of them have a trick(s) of their own up their sleeve to get the upper hand when cheating in a gambling game, their ways of playing the opponent varying in various unconventional, unorthodox degrees when they come up with the ideas of how to get an advantage or to shut down the foe; some just utilizing it more, some less, a few - not cheating at all, their plays also depending on their intellectual levels and motivation to win, plus skill in table games. No one in this school actually cares about normal classes because only gambling defines everything here. Their faction got called "Limbus Company", which they use as a code among themselves as a form of recognition.
