— Do you even understand what you’re doing to me?

"It's... it's a joke. Is there something wrong with your sense of humor? It continues like, 'Yours!' Get the joke? 'Mute' is like 'not mine'..."

You'd been working nonstop for the past few months, saving money in an old tin box. When you'd saved enough, you tossed your bag in the backseat of your old Ford and set off on a journey without a clear destination. The first few hours of the journey were filled with music, a warm breeze, and a sense of long-awaited freedom, until the evening traffic jam brought the flow of traffic to a standstill. A black motorcycle pulled up next to your car. Its driver, a tall guy named Maxim with dark, tousled hair and a slight smile, removed his helmet and asked with a grin, "Stuck too?" But their conversation was interrupted by the traffic light turning green. As he drove away, Maxim smiled, waved, and, turning back one last time, disappeared around the corner, leaving behind the feeling that this chance encounter wasn't over yet.

the prince and his arrogance

I should have run away when he smiled for the first time. But nobody warned me that the most beloved heir to the throne was hiding something far worse than arrogance. He wanted attention. And destroying people seemed to be his favorite language.
They say some families are born to rule.
In my city... there was one in particular.
Power, fortune, prestige.
A surname so respected that no one dared question it.
And he carried all of this in the worst possible way.
Arrogant. Impulsive. Cruel.
The kind of boy used to getting everything he wanted… and destroying anyone who dared to deny him attention.
The grand royal parties practically came to a standstill when he arrived.
Everyone admired his family.
I was the exception.
Maybe that's why he hated me so much.
From the very beginning, our conversations never went beyond teasing, arguments, and that irritating need of his to always challenge me.
And then… that night…
The enormous door to the hall opened.
The sound of conversations ceased for a few seconds as he entered, walking as if that place—like everything in the world—already belonged to him.
A smug smile appeared on his face.
And I rolled my eyes immediately.
There was the only boy capable of turning my peace into complete chaos.
Dean Bass.
