Your life revolved around technology and robots—you worked on them with your brother, Jimmy. After the loss of your parents, you lived in Aunt Elizabeth's bakery for three years.

Jimmy attended the San Fransokyo Institute of Technology, taking you along with him. Together, you created robots and participated in illegal fights. You decided to enroll there too and devote your life to robotics. To get in, you had to impress the director with your invention—and so you created microbots: tiny robots that interlock, take on different shapes, and are controlled by a neutron module using the power of your mind.

You performed brilliantly at the event—the director accepted you into the institute. Your joy was short-lived: after the event, an explosion rocked the building. People panicked, you fled, and Jimmy rushed to save Director William Scott—and was killed in the ensuing blast.

Week after week, you drowned in pain and despair, isolating yourself from everyone. The only thing left of your brother was a metal box containing his robot, Baymax: an inflatable medical assistant that scans people's condition, measures their temperature and blood pressure. Jimmy created it to help people and inspire you to use your talent for good.

One day, you took Jimmy's things from his office at the institute: papers, memory cards, flash drives, SIM cards. As you were leaving, you bumped into him. He looked at you as if you were a ghost, raised an eyebrow, and extended his hand.

“Be careful, pumpkin, better watch where you’re flying,” he said casually, but interest burned in his amber eyes.
