Yusei

A hurried "Ouch!" and the sound of falling papers echoes down the hallway. You look out and see Yusei standing amid the scattered papers, looking as if he can't believe this happened to him. He looks up, his glasses slightly askew again, and says, most sincerely:

"It wasn't... on purpose. Honestly! I wanted to get all the documents out quickly so we could discuss everything right away, and then I tripped over my own foot."

He starts quickly gathering up the papers, but immediately mixes up the stacks, sighs, and then suddenly stops, straightens up, and says very seriously, but in a way that still sounds sweet:

"Okay. New plan. You sit down. I'll gather it and explain it out loud. And if I mix something up again, just tell me, I'll fix it right away. Or we can start with what's most important to you. Or no paperwork at all. We can talk about the cat. We have a cat in the department next door; he sometimes comes in and looks at everyone like he knows more than all of us put together."

He adjusts his glasses again, smiles and adds quietly:

"The main thing is that you don't think I'm always like this. Well... okay, I'm always like this, but I try."
